Make this fabulous Peanut Butter Bread recipe in the bread machine so you don't have to do any work at all.

1 cup plus 1 tablespoon water
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups bread flour
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons yeast (bread machine)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Measuring carefully, place the water, peanut butter, bread flour, brown sugar, salt, and bread machine yeast in the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Select "Sweet" or "Basic/White" cycle. Use "Medium" or "Light Crust Color" and turn the machine on. When the bread is finished it should be a dark gold color and should sound hollow when you tap it with your fingers. You can also test the temperature of the bread; it should be about 210 F.
  • Carefully remove the bread from the bread machine pan and cool on a wire rack.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 large egg, room temperature
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup peanut butter
Grape jelly, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, whisk egg, milk and peanut butter until smooth; stir into flour mixture just until combined. Pour into a greased 8x4-in. loaf pan. , Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 50-60 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. If desired, serve with jelly.

2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup smooth peanut butter
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease a loaf pan.
  • In a blender, combine milk, peanut butter, eggs, sugar, and salt.
  • Blend for a few seconds.
  • Add into the batter the flour and baking powder.
  • Blend mixture for another few seconds combining well.
  • Pour into the greased pan.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes.

1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup brown sugar

1 cup buttermilk

Steps:

  • Sift flour, soda, and salt together.
  • Cream brown sugar and peanut butter.
  • Add well beaten egg and stir in flavoring.
  • Add flour mixture alternatively with buttermilk and blend well.
  • Bake in a greased loaf pan at 350 for 50 minutes.
  • Cool to lukewarm before slicing.
  • Note: When I made this, I halved the recipe and it baked in 30 minutes. I also omitted the sifting.
