PEACH & VIDALIA BURGERS



Peach & Vidalia Burgers image

Take one all-American patty and load it up Georgia-style with mayo, fresh sliced peaches and sauteed Vidalia onions.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 hamburger buns, split
TOPPINGS:
Mayonnaise
Thinly sliced peaches
Sauteed Vidalia onion

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper. Add beef; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into four 1/2-in.-thick patties. Press a shallow indentation in the center of each with your thumb. Brush both sides of patties with oil., Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from heat 4-5 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160°. Serve on buns with toppings.

1 pound ground beef

8 slices marble rye bread
TOPPINGS:
Horseradish sauce
Sliced deli pastrami
Prepared mustard

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper. Add beef; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into four 1/2-in.-thick patties. Press a shallow indentation in the center of each with your thumb. Brush both sides of patties with oil., Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from heat 4-5 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160°. Serve between rye bread with toppings.

4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup olive oil
1 vidalia onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, finely minced
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
3 cups ketchup
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup honey
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1/8 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon paprika
1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce (Hot and spicy)
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon lucas limon salt or 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
1/2 cup Bourbon
1/2 cup molasses

Steps:

  • Heat oil and butter and sautee onions and garlic till tender about 5 minutes.
  • Add rest of ingredients bring to boil then simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Using a hand blender puree till onions are very fine.
  • Cool and jar.
  • Baste on any meats you want to be finger licking GOOD!
