OLD FASHIONED MALT SMOOTHIES
These Malts are Delicious and I make them every movie night and family and friends loves them.

Steps:
- 1. PLACE 3/4 CUP OF THE MILK, 1/4 CUP OF THE CHOCOLATE-FLAVORED SYRUP AND 1 TABLESPOON MALTED MILK POWDER IN BLENDER. COVER AND BLEND ON HIGH SPEED 2 SECONDS.
- 2. ADD 3 SCOOPS VANILLA ICE CREAM. COVER AND BLEND ON LOW SPEED ABOUT 5 SECONDS LONGER OR UNTIL SMOOTH. POUR INTO TWO GLASSES.
- 3. REPEAT 2 TIMES WITH REMAINING MILK, SYRUP, MALTED MILK POWDER AND ICE CREAM.
OLD-FASHIONED CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA MALTED
The Walgreen drugstore chain popularized this soda-fountain drink in the 1930s under the name "Horlick's Malted Milk". You can make this warm-weather favorite with either whole milk and ice cream or low-fat milk and frozen yogurt. For adults, toss a shot of Kahlua or brandy into the blender for a tasty treat.

OLD-FASHIONED AVENA OATMEAL BREAKFAST SMOOTHIES
Steps:
- Place the oats and milk in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a rapid simmer. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook, stirring constantly, until the oatmeal is thick, about 10 minutes. Add sugar, to taste, and set the oatmeal aside to cool slightly.
- Transfer the oatmeal to a container and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours or overnight. Strain the liquid, add the vanilla and add more milk if you want it thinner. Serve cold.
