- Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom of 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
- Stir bananas, sugar, milk, oil, vanilla and eggs in large bowl. Stir in Bisquick mix and nuts. Pour into pan.
- Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean; cool 10 minutes. Loosen sides of loaf from pan; remove from pan and place top side up on wire rack. Cool completely, about 2 hours, before slicing. Wrap tightly and store at room temperature up to 4 days, or refrigerate up to 10 days.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 8x4- or 9x5-inch loaf pan with shortening or cooking spray.
- In large bowl, beat all ingredients except nuts with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed 45 seconds, scraping bowl frequently. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into pan.
- Bake 45 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Loosen sides of loaf from pan. Remove from pan to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Grease bottom only of loaf pan, 9x5x3 inches, or 2 loaf pans, 8½x4½x2 ½ inches.
- Mix all ingredients; beat 30 seconds.
- Pour into pan(s).
- Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 9-inch loaf 55 to 65 minutes, 8-inch loaves 55-60 minutes; cool slightly.
- Loosen sides of loaf from pan; remove from pan.
- Cool completely before slicing.
- To store, wrap and refrigerate no longer than 1 week.
- *If using self-rising flour, omit baking powder and salt.
- Apricot Nut Bread: Mix 1 cup finely cut-up dried apricots.
- Banana Nut Bread: Decrease milk to 1/3 cup and omit orange peel. Mix in 1 ¼ cup mashed bananas (1 to 3 medium). Bake 9-inch loaf 65 to 70 minutes.
- Cranberry-Cheese Nut Bread: Decrease nuts to 1/2 cup. Stir in 1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese (about 6 ounces) and 1 cup cranberries, cut into halves. Bake 9-inch loaf 65 to 70 minutes.
- Date Nut Bread: Omit milk. Mix 1 1/2 cups boiling water and 1 1/2 cups cut-up dates; cool. Stir into the batter.
- Whole Wheat Raisin Bread: Substitute 2 3/4 cups whole wheat flour for the all-purpose flour and honey for the brown sugar. Mix in 1 cup raisins.
CRANBERRY-NUT BREAD

- Heat oven to 375°F. Generously grease bottom of loaf pan, 9x5x3 inches. Stir Bisquick, granulated sugar, sour cream, oil, milk, orange peel and eggs in medium bowl until moistened. Stir in cranberries and nuts. Pour into pan.
- Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes. Loosen sides of loaf from pan; remove from pan and place top side up on wire rack. Cool completely, about 2 hours, before slicing. Wrap tightly and store at room temperature up to 4 days, or refrigerate up to 10 days.
- Stir powdered sugar and orange juice until smooth and thin enough to drizzle. Drizzle over bread.

BANANA BREAD FROM BETTY CROCKER
This is the recipe I always use for banana bread. It is very forgiving and you can add more nuts, more bananas (just adjust the milk quantity so the batter has the consistency of muffin batter), and only need one bowl. I use walnuts usually, but pecans are good too and I usually use the cheap 'whole and pieces' nuts without chopping further.

- Move oven rack to low position so that tops of pans will be in center of oven. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottoms only of 2 loaf pans, 8 1/2x4 1/2x2 1/2 inches, or 1 loaf pan, 9x5x3 inches.

- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom of a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Mix sugar and butter in a medium bowl. Stir in eggs until blended. Add bananas and water; beat 30 seconds. Stir in remaining ingredients except nuts just until moistened. Stir in nuts. Pour into pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 55 to 60 minutes; cool 5 minutes.
