IMMUNE BOOSTING MULTI-COLORED BEET SMOOTHIES



Immune Boosting Multi-Colored Beet Smoothies image

This beet smoothie is one of my all-time superfood smoothies. Made with coconut milk, it is delicious, healthy and satisfying.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 small or 1 big beet - red (yellow, or both - peeled and cut into cubes)
1 (14 oz.) can of whole coconut milk
1 frozen banana (in small pieces)
12-14 red seedless grapes
1 tablespoon lime juice (freshly squeezed)
1 cup baby spinach or kale (rinsed (optional))
1 cup ice

Steps:

  • Place beets, coconut milk, banana, grapes, lime juice, spinach (or kale) and ice in a blender. Blend until smooth. Divide it in between 2 glasses and serve immediately.

I drink these in the moring with my cereal and sometimes make them later in the day when I'm craving a sweet treat but don't want to eat sweet's. My kids LOVE them - I hope you do too! I have changed the fruit and flavour of yogurt - try peach and mango MMMmmmmm.

1 cup orange juice (or 5-Alive any flavour)
4 strawberries, cut up
1 banana (I peel, chop into 3 or 4 chunks & freeze)
1/2 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt
3 -4 ice cubes (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine everything in a blender, give it a whirl until the fruit and ice cubes have been pureed, pour into a glass and enjoy.

This is my favorite morning smoothie before going to work. Low in sugar, contains alot of nutrition and sustains me for awhile.

1 1/2 cups liquid aloe vera
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup fresh raspberry
1 scoop of unsweetened powdered soy protein concentrate
1 celery
1/2 cucumber
stevia artificial sweetener

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender EXCEPT sweetener.
  • Blend til smooth.
  • Add sweetener to taste.
