This is very good when either mixing into the hamburger and/or shake some on the burger while cooking. Want it a little more spicy? Melt a slice of Pepper Jack or Chipotle Cheddar Cheese on your burger. -OR- Double up on the Cayenne Pepper

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon Accent seasoning
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Combine the paprika, sea salt, pepper, Accent, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper in an airtight container; seal. Shake to combine.
  • Mix 2 level teaspoons of seasoning to one pound of hamburger. Form into patties. Cook as usual (grill or pan fry).
  • Note: Store remaining seasoning in a cool, dry place between uses.

Our Test Kitchen concocted this easy recipe, enhancing lean ground beef with onion powder, chili powder and red pepper flakes. These satisfying burgers are sure to sizzle in any summer meal.

1/4 cup beer or beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
4 hamburger buns, split

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into four patties., On a lightly oiled grill rack, grill hamburgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear. Serve on buns.,
