AUSTIN MARGARITA (AKA MEXICAN MARTINI)
After living in Austin Texas for 10 years, my husband and I perfected the perfect margarita. The secret to success is fresh fruit juice only and it doesn't use any pre-made mixes! Don't skimp and try buying juice. Squeeze it yourself or you won't get the best taste! If you are a real olive lover, add pimento stuffed olives and call it a 'Mexican martini'...delicious! and you won't confuse yours with anyone else's if you add 3 olives on a stirrer. :)

PERFECT BLUE AGAVE MARGARITA
A very simple and refreshing margarita made with silver tequila, fresh limes and blue agave nectar. Blue agave nectar is a very light and natural sweetener made from the blue agave plant. You can find it at your supermarket (Whole Foods/Sprouts) or online (Amazon). No need for additional sweeteners, triple sec or anything else. Just pure and simple and very smooth. My wife, who hates margaritas on the rocks, loves this mix.

MARGARITA MARTINI
Saw this very simple drink in Food Network Magazine and calling this a martini made me giggle. It's nothing fancy with ingredients most probably have on hand. The good part is that it will still make you as drunk as any of its martini or margarita counterparts.

- If you would like salt-rimmed glasses, begin by running a lime slice (the juicy part) around the top rim of a glass. Fill a shallow bowl with salt, and dip the rim in the salt until it is covered with your desired amount of salt. Set aside.
- Add gin, lime juice and Cointreau to a cocktail shaker, and shake or stir until combined. Taste, and if you would like it to be sweeter, stir in a half teaspoon of agave or simple syrup at a time, until the mix reaches your desired level of sweetness.
- Fill glass with ice. Pour in the margarita mixture over the rocks. Serve immediately, garnished with an extra lime wedge if desired.
