Mango lassi is a delicious creamy drink with mango, yogurt, milk, a little sugar, and a sprinkling of cardamom. It's cool and refreshing on a hot day!

Ingredients

1 cup chopped very ripe mango (see how to peel and chop mango ), frozen chopped mango, or a cup of canned mango pulp
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup milk
4 teaspoons honey or sugar, more or less to taste
A dash of ground cardamom (optional)
Ice (optional)

Steps:

Add ingredients to the blender: Put the mango, yogurt, milk, honey (or sugar), and cardamom into a blender and blend for 2 minutes. If you want a more milkshake-like consistency and it's a hot day, either blend in some ice as well or serve over ice cubes.
Serve with a sprinkle of cardamom: Pour contents into a glass and sprinkle with a tiny pinch of ground cardamom to serve. The lassi can be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Links: Turmeric Mango Lassi from Local Haven

Blitz up mangoes with yogurt, cardamom, lime and honey and you have the most delicious lassi drink - a bit like a smoothie and great for breakfast

Ingredients

3-4 ripe mangoes (honey mangoes if possible)
500g natural yogurt
a pinch ground cardamom (crush the seeds from 1-2 pods)
1 tbsp honey
2 limes , juiced, to taste

Steps:

Put all the ingredients apart from the lime juice in a food processor and blitz. Add the lime juice along with a pinch of salt, to taste, if the cardamom isn't strong enough then add a little more, then pour into glasses with some ice cubes and serve.

Ingredients

2 teaspoons instant dry chai spice blend
1 lime, cut into wedges, to moisten rim of glasses
8 ounces vanilla bean yogurt
1 banana, chopped (about 1 cup)
1 small can pineapple in heavy syrup (about 6 ounces)
1-ounce vodka
1/2 cup ice
4 ounces dark rum (recommended: Myers's)

Steps:

Place dry chai spice on small plate. Rub a lime wedge around rim of 4 highball glasses to moisten. Dip rims in chai blend. Combine all the remaining ingredients except the rum in a blender and blend on high, until frothy. Pour into highball glasses and pour a hit, about 1-ounce of rum on top of each.
