KOOL-APPLE SANGRIA
I made this on a whim for a party at our house. It turned out really nice! There are so many different ways you can dress up the Kool-Aid!!

Steps:
- In a pitcher, dump in entire contents of Kool-Aid packet and about 1/2 cup of sugar and melt down with warm water and stir. Fill the pitcher about 1/4 of the way with cool water.
- Add half the bottle of red wine and then the rest of the pitcher with apple juice. (Be sure to taste test along the way since we all prefer different levels of sweetness and alcohol.) If it seems too strong, add water.
- Add some slices of apple and let chill before serving. (I keep some of the apples for garnish.)
- **If using sprite, I usually pour about a 1/4 cup before adding the sangria mix**
HONEYCRISP APPLE SANGRIA
This sangria is THE drink to make this fall. It combines red wine, brandy, cinnamon, apple cider, citrus, and of course - sweet honeycrisp apples! I highly suggest doubling the recipe because everyone will want more than 1 glass.

Steps:
- Place the cinnamon sticks, apples, and orange slices in a large pitcher. Add wine, apple cider, brandy, orange juice, and lemon juice. Allow to sit in the refrigerator for 6 - 24 hours. Taste; if you'd like it to be sweeter, add 1-2 Tablespoons granulated sugar, honey, or agave.
- If you'd like a cinnamon-sugar rim (highly recommended), simply moisten the rim of your glasses with water, turn the glass upside down and dip it into a mix of cinnamon and sugar. Pour in the sangria with fruit* and add a splash of club soda (this unsweetened fizz is wonderful with the sangria!). Garnish with a cinnamon stick, if desired. Cheers!

- Slice the apples, then add them to the bottom of a pitcher. Sprinkle them with sugar and cinnamon and stir. Let them stand for 20 minutes at room temperature.
- After 20 minutes, pour in the red wine, brandy, cinnamon sticks and lemon rounds. Stir and refrigerate 1 to 4 hours. (Don’t go beyond 4 hours or the fruit texture starts to degrade.)
- Pour the sangria into ice filled glasses. If desired, for more sweetness and apple flavor, add a splash of apple cider before serving. Add apples to each glass, preferably on long skewers for easy snacking.
