JAM BUTTONS
This recipe was featured in an email this morning from the www.recipe4living.com website. "This is a fast butter cookie that looks great on a tray. It's especially quick because the dough doesn't need to chill." Please note that the yield size is estimated as I have not made these yet.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- With an electric mixer, beat butter, sugar, salt, orange zest and vanilla until well combined. Do not overmix. Beat in yolk. Sift the flour and add into the mixture until just combined. Scrape the bowl and mix again. Turn dough onto work surface and knead together until smooth.
- On a lightly floured surface, press the dough into a 1/2-inch thick patty. Dip a 1-inch round cutter into flour and cut out circles. Place cookies on an ungreased baking sheet at least 1 inch apart. Gather up scraps, form another patty and repeat until all the dough is used up.
- Using your thumb or the end of a large wooden spoon, make an impression in the center of each cookie without going through. Fill each impression with about 1/4 teaspoons jam.
- Bake for 22 minutes or just until the jam bubbles. Let the cookies cool on a baking sheet for 20 minutes, then cool completely on wire rack.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- 2. Place butter and peanut butter in a large bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat on high until very creamy.
- 3. Beat in ½ cup (125 mL) sugar until well blended. Then beat in egg yolks, one at a time, scraping down sides as needed. Beat in vanilla and then flour until combined.
- 4. Place 3 tbsp (45 mL) sugar in a shallow dish. Form dough into 1-inch (2.5-cm) balls, and roll in the sugar. Place on prepared baking sheet about 2 inches (5 cm) apart. Use your finger to press into centre of each dough ball to form an indent.
- 5. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven, place a peanut butter cup in indent and then continue to bake until golden and set, about 6 to 8 more minutes.
- 6. Remove to a rack to cool completely. When completely cool, dust with icing sugar.

Steps:
- Mix first 5 ingredients together and drop rounded dough on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
- While cheese buttons are baking, saute butter and onions. After cheese buttons are done baking, place them in a casserole dish and add sauted onions and butter. Pour cream over cheese buttons and bake again at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 150 Celsius.
- Beat Butter,Essence, Sugar and Golden Syrup in a small bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Then sift in Flour and mix till dough comes together. Roll into teaspoon size balls and place about 5cm apart on lined baking tray.
- Flatten with fork slightly.
- Bake for about 20 minutes.
- Cool on wire rack.
- Eat and Enjoy!
