Tuna stuffed avocados are a simple combination of tuna salad and avocados. They're easy to make, loaded with healthy protein, healthy fats and utterly delicious. Watch the video above to see how easy they are to make!

4 avocados
2 5 ounce cans tuna (I prefer albacore tuna)
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 stalk of celery (diced)
2 tbsp red onion (diced)
1-2 tbsp chopped parsley (chives and/or other herbs)
1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
salt and pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Add the tuna, mayonnaise, diced celery, diced red onion, herbs, Dijon mustard, salt and pepper to a mixing bowl. Stir together until well combined.
  • Slice the avocados in half and remove the seed. Dollop a few spoonfuls of tuna salad onto each avocado half.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 packages (3 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 can (6 ounces) tuna, drained and flaked
3 medium ripe avocados

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese and mayonnaise until well blended. Add the onion, lemon juice, celery seed and pepper. Stir in the tuna. Cut avocados in half lengthwise; remove pits. Spoon tuna salad into avocado halves. Serve immediately.

Found this @ stayathomechef.com. For the two of us, we tend to cut the number of acocados and tuna in half but use the same amount of everything else. We also completely scoop out the avocadoes.

4 avocados, halved and pitted
3 (4 1/2 ounce) cans tuna, drained
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 jalapeno, minced
1 cup cilantro leaf, roughly chopped
1 lime, juiced
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Scoop out some of the avocado from the pitted area to widen the "bowl" area. Place the scooped avocado into a medium-size mixing bowl. Mash it with a fork.
  • Add the tuna, bell pepper, jalapeno, and cilantro to the mixing bowl. Pour lime juice over. Stir it all together until everything is well mixed.
  • Scoop the tuna into the avocado bowls. Season with salt and pepper.

1/2 cup canned tuna, drained
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon wine vinegar

Steps:

  • Mix the tuna, mayo, oregano, onion powder and vinegar together.
  • Slice the avocado in half length-wise (hot dog bun style). Remove the seed.
  • Scoop out the pulp, mixing half of it into the tuna mixture.
  • Stuff the tuna mixture into the avocado "shells".

  • Cut avocado in half lengthwise and remove pips.
  • Brush lemon juice over avocado to prevent discoloration.
  • Blend together fish, salt, pepper and mayonnaise and spoon into avocado.
  • Chill before serving.
  • Garnish as desired.
