Steps:
- Cut bread diagonally into 1-in. slices to within 1 in. of bottom. Repeat cuts in opposite direction. Cut Swiss cheese into 1/4-in. slices; cut slices into small pieces. Insert into bread. Combine the onion, butter, garlic and salt; spoon over bread. , Wrap loaf in foil. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve warm.

- Heat oven to 350ºF.
- Cut slice from top of bread loaf; remove center of loaf, leaving 1-inch-thick shell. Cut removed bread into bite-size pieces; cover and set aside for later use. Place bread shell on baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 min. or until lightly toasted. Cool slightly.
- Mix VELVEETA, tomatoes and onions in large microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 5 min. or until VELVEETA is completely melted, stirring after 3 min. Stir in ham and pineapple. Pour into bread shell.

- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and grease with nonstick spray.
- Add the Spam to a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook for 4-5 minutes, without disturbing, until the Spam cubes are golden brown on the bottom. Cook for another 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until most of the Spam is golden brown. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
- Melt the butter to the same skillet over medium heat. Add the red onion, garlic, chives, and salt and stir to combine, then remove the pan from the heat.
- Using a sharp knife, carefully cut the bread about halfway through into 1-inch (2.54 cm) slices, stopping ½ inch (1.24 cm) from the bottom of the loaf to keep intact. Turn the loaf 90° and repeat cutting in the opposite direction.
- Stuff the Swiss cheese and Spam between the bread slices. Transfer the loaf to the prepared baking sheet and pour the onion and garlic butter evenly over the top.
- Grease another sheet of foil with nonstick spray, then cover the loaf. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown on top.
- Remove the bread from the oven and transfer to a serving platter. Serve hot.

- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, beat together the yeast mixture, eggs, pineapple juice, 1/2 cup water, sugar, ginger, vanilla, and melted butter. Gradually stir in flour until a stiff batter is formed. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

CHEESE DIP IN HAWAIIAN BREAD
When my SIL told me about this recipe I was very skeptical - I'm not a big mayonnaise fan and the thought of hot mayonnaise just wanted to make me "retch" (I know I probably shouldn't say that when describing a recipe, but it just sounded plain nasty. I decided to be a mature adult and at least try it (holding my nose the whole time). Well - let me tell you something. You could have knocked me over with a feather and they had to knock me away from the dish in order for other people to get some. This is delicious. My favorite part is after all the inside has been eaten you put it back in the oven to let the bread crisp up some more and then just start tearing chunks of bread off & eating it. It is divine. This is so easy and people will think you are a gourmet chef. Pict-Sweet Seasoning Blend is frozen chopped onions, celery, red and green pepper mixture found in the frozen vegetable section. The stores in my area usually have the Hawaiian bread in the deli section of the store.

- Slice off a small piece of the top of the Hawaiian Bread making sure you leave at least a good 1-2" border around the top.
- Scoop out the inside of the bread leaving a shell (not too thin) but be sure not to tear through the sides or bottom.

- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water; let stand until bubbles form on surface, 5 minutes. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, heat butter until melted. Add pineapple juice and whole milk and continue to heat gently until mixture reaches 110° to 115°. In a large bowl, combine 3 cups flour, potato flakes, sugar, salt and ginger. Add yeast and butter mixtures to dry ingredients; beat just until moistened. Add eggs; beat until smooth. Beat in vanilla. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough; dough will be sticky. , Turn dough onto a floured surface; with floured hands, knead until smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes, adding more flour to surface and hands as needed. There are similar recipes on the Zaar, but this one has all the yummy buttery goodness on the inside, not the outside, of the roll...so no messy fingers!

- Combine softened butter, mustard, grated onion, poppy seeds, and Worcestershire sauce to form a spread.
- Without separating the rolls, slice the rolls horizontally. Spread the butter mixture on both slices -- inside, not outside. Layer the ham and cheese on bottom slices. Top with the top slices.
- Cut into individual rolls but keeping them together. Wrap each package of now cut rolls tightly in foil and refrigerate until ready to bake.
- Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes, or until heated and cheese is melted. Just pop the foil packets into the oven. That easy!
- You can also heat them in a baking dish -- just spray a little Pam or the like on the dish.
