1/2 ounce sake
2 1/2 ounces vodka
1 dash dry vermouth
1 cucumber, slice sliced thin

Steps:

  • Half fill a mixing glass with ice.
  • Add sake,vodke,vermouth.
  • Stir,then strain in a chilled martini glass and garnish with a thin slice of cucumber.

3 ounces lychee infused sake
Lychee fruit
1 ounce Pomegranate juice

Steps:

  • Squeeze the lime juice into a martini shaker. Add ice 2/3rds of the way up the shaker. Add lychee infused sake. Shake vigorously. Place a lychee fruit in a martini glass.
  • Strain the cocktail into the glass. Pour the pomegranate juice gently into the martini glass for a floating effect.

The classic martini has only two ingredients--so it's important to use the best you can afford. Store vermouth in the refrigerator to retain its flavor. Don't chill the gin or vodka or it won't get diluted enough by the ice to achieve the proper proportions (one-eighth to one-fourth water). Energetic shaking with ice is vital for a smooth/silky result. Stirring produces a crystal-clear martini but it will never get as cold as a shaken martini.
