FRESH PEACH DESSERT

Fresh Peach Dessert image

We look forward to peach season every year just so we can have this dessert. Make sure to use sweet, ripe peaches. You could also substitute other fruits such as raspberries or strawberries, but I think fresh peaches are the best.

Time 40m

Yield 15

Number Of Ingredients 8

16 whole graham crackers, crushed
¾ cup butter, melted
½ cup white sugar
4 ½ cups miniature marshmallows
¼ cup milk
1 pint heavy cream
⅓ cup white sugar
6 large fresh peaches - peeled, pitted, and sliced

Steps:

  • Combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/2 cup sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix until evenly moistened, reserve 1/4 cup of the mixture for the topping. Press the remaining mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  • Whip cream in a large bowl until soft peaks form. Beat in 1/3 cup sugar until the cream forms stiff peaks. Fold the whipped cream into the cooled marshmallow mixture.
  • Spread 1/2 the cream mixture over the crust, arrange the peaches on top of the cream, then spread the remaining cream mixture over the peaches. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture over the cream. Refrigerate until serving.

Fresh Peach Cake image

Provided by Ina Garten

Time 1h5m

Yield 8 servings

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/4 pound (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
2 extra-large eggs, at room temperature
1 cup sour cream, at room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 large, ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
  • In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and 1 cup of the sugar for 3 to 5 minutes on medium-high speed, until light and fluffy. With the mixer on low, add the eggs, one at a time, then the sour cream and vanilla, and mix until the batter is smooth. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. With the mixer on low, slowly add the dry ingredients to the batter and mix just until combined. In a small bowl, combine the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and the cinnamon.
  • Spread half of the batter evenly in the pan. Top with half of the peaches, then sprinkle with two-thirds of the sugar mixture. Spread the remaining batter on top, arrange the remaining peaches on top, and sprinkle with the remaining sugar mixture and the pecans.
  • Bake the cake for 45 to 55 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm or at room temperature.

THE BEST PEACH COBBLER

The Best Peach Cobbler image

In our classic southern-style peach cobbler, we layer the fruit on top of the batter before baking. In the oven, the sweet batter rises through the peaches, creating a light and airy cake-like topping. We left the peaches unpeeled, which adds a nice color and makes the recipe even easier. Serve it with vanilla ice cream for the perfect summer dessert.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     dessert

Time 1h10m

Yield 4 to 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 12

5 small peaches, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices (about 5 cups)
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3/4 cup milk, at room temperature

Steps:

  • For the filling: Put the peaches, sugar, cinnamon, salt and lemon juice in a medium saucepan. Place over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved and the peach juices begin to boil. Lower to a simmer and continue to cook for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat.
  • For the batter: Put the butter in a 2-quart baking dish and place it in the oven while it preheats. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Stir the vanilla into the milk in a liquid measuring cup. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients while whisking until well combined.
  • Remove the baking dish from the oven and pour the batter in an even layer over the melted butter. Spoon the peaches along with their juices evenly over the top of the batter. Bake until the cobbler is golden brown on top and the peach juices are bubbling, 35 to 45 minutes.
  • Let cool to room temperature before serving.

FRESH PEACH DESSERT

Fresh Peach Dessert image

This dessert is so fabulous! It is my mother-in-law's recipe that can also be made as strawberry or raspberry by switching the Jello flavor and fruit. It is so fresh tasting that you will have a hard time stopping at just one serving! Note: It is important to note that the pudding used is the cooking kind, NOT the instant. This makes a 9 x 13 size dessert, but you could also put it in 2 pie crusts, or half the recipe for one smaller dessert. Enjoy!

Provided by Pam-I-Am

Categories     Gelatin

Time 2h30m

Yield 15 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

18 graham cracker squares (1 package)
4 tablespoons butter, melted

1 (6 ounce) package vanilla pudding mix (the kind you cook)
1 (6 ounce) package jello peach gelatin
4 cups water
1 1/2 cups whipped topping (cool whip)
3 cups peaches, sliced

Steps:

  • In a medium sauce pan, combine dry pudding mix, jello powder and water.
  • Stir and heat to a boil. Let it boil for one minute.
  • Pour mixture into a bowl and place in the fridge to cool and thicken for about a hour.
  • Peel and cut up peaches (or fruit of choice) and set aside.
  • Remove cooled Jello from the fridge and fold in the cool whip topping. Next fold in fresh fruit. Place back in fridge.
  • Prepare graham cracker crust in a food processor or blender, adding all 3 ingredients.
