We love using this delicious blend to season chicken or vegetables before grilling. Makes enough to store and use later. Sprinkle over meat or vegetables and grill.

¼ cup kosher salt
4 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon ground red pepper

Steps:

Stir salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper in an airtight container, seal, and shake to combine.

This is another recipe from the Loveless Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee. I use this in Loveless Dry Rub when I smoke a pork butt or cook ribs. Remember to use this cautiously....its hard to take too much salt out of something:)!

1 cup kosher salt
1/3 cup garlic salt
3 tablespoons celery salt
2 tablespoons dry mustard
1/2 tablespoon rubbed sage

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Steps:

Mix all the ingredients together and store in an air-tight container.

Ingredients

3 lbs sea salt
2 teaspoons peppercorns
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
4 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
1 1/2 teaspoons juniper berries, dried
1 bay leaf, dried, crumbled
6 sprigs thyme (leaves only)
8 cloves, whole

Steps:

Place all but the salt and sugar in a coffee grinder used for only herbs and grind. Mix in with to sugar and salt.
To make the brine add 1/2 cup mixture to 1 quart liquid be it water, apple juice, & or beer.
