RICE PILAF WITH ORZO
So much better than anything that comes out of a box! This easy rice pilaf with orzo is a deliciously simple side dish that goes with just about anything!

Steps:
- Rinse the rice in a bowl or in a colander under running water. Drain and set aside.
- In a medium sized saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the orzo and cook, stirring frequently until the orzo is golden brown.
- Add the rinsed rice and stir for about 2 minutes, until the grains are coated with the butter.
- Add the stock and stir. Bring to a boil.
- Cover the saucepan and reduce the heat to a low simmer.
- Simmer the rice pilaf for 15 minutes.
- Remove the lid and check for doneness.
- Season with salt and pepper.

- In a large heavy saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; add orzo and brown until golden.
- Add rice, bouillon, and water; bring to a boil, cover and lower heat to medium-low.
- Simmer for about 20 to 25 minutes or until all water is absorbed; serve.

Steps:
- Melt butter or margarine in saucepan.
- Add orzo and saute' on medium high heat till browned.
- Stir in rice.
- Meanwhile dissolve bouillon in water.
- Add parsley.
- Slowly add bouillon mixture into saucepan.
- Stir well.
- Turn heat to low and cover tightly.
- Let simmer gently, covered, for 20-30 minutes.
- Stir occasionally to make sure rice is not sticking to bottom of pan.

- In a large sauce pan, heat oil over medium heat and add the orzo. Lightly brown the orzo, stirring often. Add the rice and then the water. Stir to combine until everything is well blended. Add the salt and cover and cook on low flame for 20+ minutes, stirring often.
