CLASSIC CHEESEBALL
This Classic Cheese Ball recipe makes the perfect party appetizer. A cheese ball made with cheddar cheese, cream cheese, green onion and spices, and coated in chopped pecans.

Steps:
- Place cream cheese in a mixing bowl and mix until smooth. Add cheese, green onion, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, parley, garlic powder, oregano and pepper and mix well to combine.
- Use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl and gather the mixture into one lump. Lightly grease your hands and form the mixture into a round ball.
- Place the pecans on a plate. Hold the cheese ball in one hand and use the other hand to scoop the pecans onto the outside of the ball, pressing them in gently and turning the ball to coat all sides.
- Cover the cheeseball in cling wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour to allow it to firm up. Take it out of the refrigerator about 20 minutes before serving to allow it to soften just slightly. Serve with crackers, pretzels, vegetables or anything else you'd love to dip in cheese!

- Add cream cheese, sour, garlic powder and onion powder and pepper to a medium mixing bowl. Mix with an electric hand mixer until smooth.
- Mix in cheese (with electric mixer). Cover bowl and chill 1 hour to help firm it up.
- Shape into a ball using a spatula then with greased hands.
- Place pecans in a medium bowl. Roll cheese ball through pecans to cover entirely.
- Serve with crackers, using a butter knife for spreading. Store in refrigerator.

My mom made this cheeseball every Christmas when I was growing up. It is still one of my favorites! I am not sure of the ranch dressing's envelope size. I don't think it comes in multiple sizes though.

- In a large bowl or stand mixer, add the cream cheese and mix until smooth.
- Add the next 6 ingredients to the bowl and mix until everything is incorporated.
- Ladle the cream cheese mixture onto some foil or saran wrap. Fold in the sides of the foil/saran wrap and form into a ball. Once it's in a ball make sure to cover the ball completely.
- Place in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Using your hands, press the crushed almonds all around the cream cheese ball. Pressing the almonds in so they will stick.
