10 BEST PLACES TO EAT OUT IN EAST DULWICH: FROM GEORGIAN WINE TO …
From thehandbook.com
- Oru. This cafe / wellness / co-working emporium is a central hub in East Dulwich. You can come here for your morning yoga session in the wellness area, sip on an oat flat white afterwards, head upstairs for a quiet few minutes of tapping at your laptop and then mosey back on down for lunch.
- Spinach. If brunch is your thing, there’s no better place for it than at Spinach. This chilled oasis in East Dulwich goes well beyond poached eggs (though they do those too).
- Signoria. “Signoria” in Italian means lordship, which is a subtle nod to this eatery’s placement on East Dulwich’s Lordship Lane. This restaurant may be tiny, but its tribute to Italian food is mega.
- Kartuli. You simply can’t walk past Kartuli without wanting to walk in. The Georgian restaurant is painted in rich, deep greens and decorated with bountiful lush plants, hanging lamps, ceramic pots and vintage ornaments to make it look like a veritable oasis on Lordship Lane.
- The Little Blue Brick. This cute veggie cafe is hidden around a quiet residential corner. You’ll see a signpost for it on Lordship Lane, but if you bypass that, it’s like you’ve stumbled upon a secret.
- Yamamomo. For a stylish way to spend your evening, splash out at Yamamomo. The contemporary Japanese restaurant dishes up the most succulent izakaya style plates and sushi.
- Luca’s Kitchen and Bakery. After you’ve finished spending a house deposit on North Cross Road on that eye-wateringly expensive dress, hat, and colourful throw you didn’t know you needed, find solace at Luca’s.
- Memsaab. When you want a traditional Indian meal out, Memsaab should be your go-to. Curries, masalas and biryanis are packed full of fresh ingredients and all the flavour.
- Yard Sale. If you’re looking for the best pizza in Great Britain (and we are not exaggerating), then you’ve come to the right place. Yard Sale pizzas are the cheesiest, most flavourful slices of thin dough you will ever come across.
- Franklins. The establishment has been there for the past 20 years and it feels like a truly well-oiled machine. The staff are super friendly and it has a dark moody atmosphere, which is perfect for when you want to go in and get your roast on a Sunday.
