- Place sliced potatoes in slow cooker. In a medium bowl, mix together shredded cheese, onion and ham. Mix with potatoes in slow cooker. Using the same bowl, mix together condensed soup and water. Season to taste with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Pour evenly over the potato mixture.

This is a great, easy recipe. I got it from a Relief Society Enrichment Night lesson, and have not found its equal anywhere. I have no idea where the sister who contributed the recipe got it, but it sure is great! If you add the ham, it can even be a main dish for lunch or brunch. MY FAVOURITE CROCK POT HAM AND SCALLOPED POTATOES
When I am cooking for a large group I often will make this crock pot recipe; as it can cook nicely in the background. I sometimes make a little change with the sauce, wherein I take 1 cup sour cream and 1 can cream of celery soup (low fat) I add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the sauce, then I add the ham, onions and potatoes back into the crock pot. That goes across well with my hungry Free-Mason men whom I make dinner for once a month.
