Wedge wonderful! Perfectly shaped servings of golden cornbread bake in a special pan.

Ingredients

2 pouches (6.5 oz each) Betty Crocker™ cornbread & muffin mix
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
2 eggs
4 medium green onions, chopped (1/4 cup)

Steps:

Heat oven to 400°F. Grease divided scone pan with shortening. Make muffin mixes as directed on pouch, using milk, margarine and eggs. Stir in onions. Spoon evenly into each wedge of pan.
Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from pan to cooling rack. Serve warm.

Here's one of the tastier ways we know of to enjoy a sloppy joe. Try this delish meat mixture on cornbread wedges and sprinkle with cheese.

Ingredients

1 pkg. (8-1/2 oz.) corn muffin mix
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 medium tomato, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
1/2 cup chopped green pepper

Steps:

Preheat oven to 400°F. Prepare corn muffin batter as directed on package; pour into 8- or 9-inch round layer pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool slightly.
Meanwhile, brown meat in large skillet on medium heat; drain. Stir in barbecue sauce. Reduce heat to low; simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
Cut cornbread into 4 wedges; place 1 wedge on each serving plate. Spoon about 1/2 cup of the meat mixture over each cornbread wedge. Top evenly with the cheese, tomatoes and green peppers.
