If you like your grilled cheese sandwiches on the meaty side, you'll love this one. It's got 4 slices of lean roast beef and 1 extra-yummy slice of cheese.

2 slices sourdough bread
1 tsp. GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard
4 slices OSCAR MAYER Deli Fresh Slow Roasted Roast Beef
1 KRAFT DELI DELUXE 2% Milk Process American Cheese Slice
2 tsp. butter, softened

Steps:

  • Spread 1 bread slice with mustard. Fill bread slices with meat and cheese.
  • Spread outside of sandwich with butter.
  • Cook in skillet on medium heat 3 min. on each side or until sandwich is golden brown on both sides.

The humble roast beef Cheese Sandwich has been a staple of delis and picnic lunches since probably the beginning of delis and picnics as we know them.

4 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 pound freshly sliced roast beef*
1 pound Cooper® Sharp White cheese, thinly sliced (about 16 slices)
1 cup sprouts
1 tomato, sliced
4-8 romaine lettuce leaves, washed
8 slices multigrain bread
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, horseradish, garlic, and lemon juice. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spread the mayonnaise mixture onto 2 slices of bread. Layer 1-2 romaine leaves on a slice of bread. Follow with 2 slices of Cooper® Sharp cheese. Add 2 tomato slices, then layer 1/4 pound of the roast beef on top. Add 2 more slices of Cooper® Sharp cheese. Layer about 1/4 cup sprouts on the cheese, then top with a slice of bread. Repeat to make 4 sandwiches total.

1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 pinch garlic powder
A few drops hot sauce
8 sesame slider buns
6 ounces processed cheese, such as Velveeta, chopped
1/4 cup shredded sharp Cheddar
2 tablespoons milk
1/8 teaspoon paprika
12 ounces thinly sliced roast beef

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • For the secret sauce: Combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and hot sauce in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave until just simmering, about 30 seconds. Keep warm, covered.
  • For the sandwiches and Cheddar sauce: Lay the slider buns cut-side up on a rimmed baking sheet and bake until warmed through, about 8 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, combine the processed cheese, Cheddar, milk and paprika in a small saucepan and warm over medium-high heat, stirring, until melted and smooth, about 2 minutes. Take off the heat and keep warm, covered.
  • Spread both sides of the buns lightly with the secret sauce. Place a few slices of roast beef on each bottom half of the buns. Rewarm the cheese sauce if necessary, then spoon some of the cheese sauce on top of the meat. Cover with the top half of the buns and serve immediately.
