2 pounds ground beef (, (80/20))
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1 yellow onion (, chopped)
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup whole milk
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cups cheddar cheese (, shredded)
32 ounces frozen tater tots

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Add the ground beef, salt and pepper to a large cast iron skillet on medium high heat and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove the ground beef and add in the onions, cooking for 5-7 minutes or until softened.
  • Add in the flour and whisk for 15 seconds before adding in the beef broth, whole milk and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until thickened, add the beef back in and stir until combined.
  • In a 9x13 pan layer the beef, then the cheese and finally line up the tater tots before baking for 45 minutes.

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped (about 2 cups)
1 pound 80-percent lean ground beef
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 cups frozen cut green beans, thawed (8 ounces)
1 3/4 cups frozen corn kernels, thawed (8 ounces)
Two 10-ounce cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 pound frozen potato tots

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Add the oil to a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until soft and beginning to brown, about 15 minutes. Add the beef to the onions and cook until the meat is brown, stirring and scraping the bottom of the skillet to release the yummy brown bits, about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Transfer the beef and onion mixture from the skillet into a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Scatter the green beans and corn evenly on top. Spread the cream of mushroom soup over top and top with frozen potato tots. Bake uncovered for 1 hour; the potato tots should be golden brown. Serve.

1 (32 ounce) package frozen bite-size potato nuggets (such as Tater Tots®), divided
1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons Montreal-style steak seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
½ cup milk
½ cup grated Cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare a 13x9-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • Spread 20 potato nuggets in the casserole dish.
  • Bake in preheated oven until warmed through, about 10 minutes.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef and onion in the hot skillet until beef is completely browned, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease. Season beef mixture with 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, steak seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper.

My mom used to make this for me as a kid and as I have grown up I have changed it a little to suit my personal taste preference. Its a bit of a crowd pleaser so don't be surprised if the left overs don't last long.

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (1 1/4 ounce) packet onion soup mix
1 (15 ounce) canned corn (or frozen corn)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
8 ounces rotini pasta or 8 ounces elbow macaroni
1 lb frozen tater tots

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Bring medium pot of lightly salted water to a boil then add the noodles of your choice. Cook about 7-9 minutes or until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • While cooking the pasta, brown ground beef with chopped onion. Drain.
  • Mix condensed soups, corn and onion soup mix together in medium sized bowl.
  • In 9x13 casserole dish, combine soup mixture, noodles and meat. Mix well.
  • Top with shredded cheese and desired amount of tater tots.

2 pounds lean ground beef
2 tablespoons butter
8 ounces slices mushrooms, roughly chopped
1 large onion, diced (1/1/4 cups)
3 cloves garlic, minced (1½ teaspoons)
½ cup flour
2 cups beef broth
1 cup whole milk or whipping cream
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Frank's or your favorite hot sauce
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup sour cream (optional)
1 bag (12 ounces) frozen peas and carrots or mixed veggies, thawed
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
1 bag (32 ounces) tater tots, thawed

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium high heat until cooked through.
  • Remove the browned beef with a slotted spoon and set aside.
  • Reduce heat to medium and drain all but about 2 tablespoons fat from your pan. Add the butter and whisk until melted. Add the mushrooms, chopped onion and garlic. Sauté for about 10 minutes or until the onions are translucent and the mushrooms are soft.
  • Return the browned beef to the pan.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir to combine. Continue cooking for about 2 minutes.
  • Slowly add in your beef broth and the milk. Add the thyme, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and continue simmering for about 15-20 minutes until your mixture is thick, but you still want it saucy. Remove from the heat and stir in the sour cream if using. Stir in the thawed veggies.
  • Pour the beef and veggie mixture In a greased 9 x 13 inch casserole dish.
  • Evenly sprinkle the cheese over the top of the beef mixture.
  • Top with tater tots (You probably will not use the entire bag.)
  • Bake for about 45 minutes until nice and bubbly and golden.
