Steps:
- 1. In a small saucepan, warm up the syrup.
- 2. When the syrup is hot, drop in the cinnamon stick. Remove from heat and let the cinnamonstick steep for 30 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick, stir and serve.
CINNAMON SYRUP
This is an adaptation of a friend's recipe. My kids go crazy over this syrup when we have pancakes or waffles. It's also good on apple slices or strawberries. The only problem is that my kids always forget their manners and lick the leftover syrup off their plates.

- Stir together the white sugar, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a small saucepan. Stir in vanilla extract and water. Bring to a rolling boil, stirring often. Continue to boil and stir until mixture thickens to syrup consistency. Remove from heat; cool 10 minutes before serving.

- Bring maple syrup to a simmer over medium heat. Add cinnamon sticks and reduce heat slightly.
- Simmer 5-10 minutes over low-medium heat.
- Remove from heat and let steep for at least 10 minutes.
- Remove cinnamon sticks before serving.
- Pour syrup into a glass container or bottle with a lid. Refrigerate.

- Stove Top Instructions: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in maple syrup and cinnamon. Warm to desired temperature and serve.
- Microwave Instructions: In a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave butter for 30 seconds until melted. Whisk in maple syrup and cinnamon. Microwave for an additional 20-30 seconds if desired until syrup reaches preferred temperature.

MAPLE CINNAMON PECAN HONEY SYRUP
This is a good syrup with a little different flavour. It does not need to be canned for finishing, just keep syrup in jar with a lid in the refrigerator. Processed in boiling water bath, it will keep for a year, if you don't process the syrup in canning jars it will keep in the refrigerator for a month or so. This is great on pancakes or on My Favourite French Toast, recipe #107988, and is also delish as a dessert sauce.

- Combine syrup, honey, and cinnamon in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, stir in vanilla and pecans, simmer 5 minutes.
- Ladle hot syrup into hot sterilized jars, leave 1/4 inch headspace.
- Adjust 2 piece lids, process in boiling water bath (BWB) for 10 minutes.

- Preheat oven to 425°F
- Spray rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Cut sweet potatoes lengthwise in half and each half into 4 wedges. Place on prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; brush half of mixture over sweet potatoes.
- Bake in centre of oven for 20 minutes.
- Turn and brush with remaining maple syrup mixture.
- Bake another 15 minutes or until tender.

- In bread machine pan, place the first seven ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select dough setting (check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or bread flour if needed)., When the cycle is completed, turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Roll into two 12x7-in. rectangles. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, flour and cinnamon; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle half over each rectangle. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting from a long side; pinch seam to seal. , Cut each roll into 12 slices. Place cut side down in one greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 20 minutes., Bake at 375° until golden brown, 20-25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the confectioners' sugar, butter, syrup and enough milk to achieve desired consistency. Spread over warm rolls.
