Baked chicken wings with a sticky sweet sauce, made from honey, soy sauce, garlic and ginger. Serve these tasty wings during Super Bowl, game day or your next party. Watch the video above to see how I make them!

Provided by Lisa Bryan

Categories     Appetizer

Time 55m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup soy sauce (see notes below)
4 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tablespoon ginger (finely diced)
1/4 cup water
2 pounds chicken wings (tips removed, and drumettes separated (24-26 chicken wings))
1 tablespoon avocado oil
salt and pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Use a paper towel to remove any moisture from the chicken wings.
  • Toss the wings with the oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Place a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet then place a wire rack on top. Spread out the wings on a single layer on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until crispy.
  • While the wings are cooking, make the sauce. Add the honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and water to a small pot. Bring it to a boil and reduce the heat to low letting it simmer for 10 minutes - or until slightly reduced and thickened.
  • Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool. It will continue to thicken as it cools.
  • Remove wings from the oven. Toss the wings in the sauce and place them back in the oven on the baking sheet and cook for an additional 10 minutes.

CHILI GARLIC CHICKEN WINGS

Chili Garlic Chicken Wings image

Chicken wings marinated in spicy chili garlic sauce and coconut aminos. Then cooked in the air fryer and served with marinated scallions. Keto and Whole30 friendly.

Provided by CharlotteSmythe

Time 30m

Yield 6

Number Of Ingredients 14

1/2 tsp. Sesame seeds
1 tsp. sesame oil
2 tbsp. avocado oil
3 tbsp. Coconut aminos
3 tbsp. Spicy Harissa sauce or chili garlic sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp grated ginger
2 lbs. chicken wings
2 scallions (finely chopped)
2 garlic cloves, finely minced
2 tsp. grated ginger
2 tsp. lime juice
1 tsp. coconut aminos
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • First, whisk the sesame seeds, sesame oil, avocado oil, coconut aminos, harissa, salt and ginger together in a large mixing bowl. Add the chicken and use your hands to toss it around to make sure it's well coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl and transfer it to the fridge. Let the chicken marinate for 4 hours to overnight.
  • Now, spray your air fryer basket with some avocado oil spray (or just rub some avocado oil on the bottom of the basket). Remove the chicken wings directly from the marinade and place them in the air fryer basket about 1/2 an inch apart in a single layer. Spray the wings with a little more avocado oil spray. Set the air fryer to "wings or chicken" at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Let the wings cook for 10 minutes, then flip them and continue to cook for the remaining 10 minutes.
  • *You may need to cook them in 2 batches if your air fryer isn't large enough to cook the wings in a single layer.
  • While the second batch of wings cook, stir all the ingredients needed for the marinated scallions together and set them aside.
  • Remove the wings from the air fryer and scatter the marinated scallions on top of the wings. Serve immediately and enjoy!

GARLIC AND SOY SAUCE CHICKEN THIGHS OR WINGS.

Garlic and Soy Sauce Chicken Thighs or Wings. image

This recipe was given to me years ago by a co-worker when I worked at a pharmacy in Clovis Calif. I have made this many times and is Yummy served with rice.

Provided by kmergirl

Categories     Chicken Thigh & Leg

Time 45m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

6 -8 chicken thighs
6 -8 chicken wings
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 green onions, chopped
3 -4 garlic cloves, minced

Steps:

  • Trim the excess skin and fat from chicken thigh or wing. Place the thighs or wings in a baking dish just big enough to accomodate the chicken. If you have too much space between the pieces the sugars in the sauce will burn and your evening's entertainment will consist of dish scrubbing.
  • Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, onion and garlic, Pour the sauce over the chicken. Turn each piece so it is well coated and then leave it skin side up.
  • Bake at 350°F for 30 - 40 minutes.
