CHEVY'S WATERMELON FRESH FRUIT MARGARITA (ON THE ROCKS)

Chevy's Watermelon Fresh Fruit Margarita (On the Rocks) image

Top Secret Recipe Version, from Todd Wilbur. You will need to puree fresh watermelon in a blender for this recipe. First, cut some ripe seedless watermelon from the rind, and then coarsely smash it in a bowl with a potato masher or large fork (this gives the blender something to grab on to). Pour the melon from the bowl into a blender and blend on high speed for 10 seconds or until it is pureed.

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces el jimador silver tequila
1/2 ounce triple sec
2 ounces prepared sweet-and-sour mix
1/2 cup watermelon (pureed, seedless)
lime wedge

Steps:

Puree watermelon using instructions above.
Put a handful of ice into shaker.
Add all ingredients and shake. Pour the drink over ice in a 10-ounce margarita glass.
Garnish with a lime wedge on a toothpick and serve.
