280g broccoli, cut into florets
25g butter
25g plain flour
300ml milk
1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
140g mature cheddar, grated

Steps:

  • Cook the pasta, adding the broccoli for the final 4-5 mins and cooking until tender. Drain well, then heat the grill.
  • Heat the butter in a saucepan and stir in the flour. Cook for 1 min, then gradually add the milk, stirring well between each addition. Bring to the boil, stirring, then simmer for 2 mins, before stirring in the mustard, half the cheese and seasoning.
  • Mix the pasta and broccoli into the sauce and spoon into an ovenproof dish. Scatter over the remaining cheese and place under a hot grill for 3-4 mins until golden and bubbling.

3 chicken breasts, cubed
salt, to taste

4 cloves garlic, minced
2 ½ cups chicken broth
2 ½ cups heavy cream
1 lb penne pasta, uncooked
2 cups parmesan cheese
2 cups mozzarella cheese
1 handful fresh parsley, chopped

Steps:

  • In a pot, heat oil and add chicken.
  • Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Add garlic, then brown the chicken.
  • Add broth, heavy cream, and pasta, and bring to a boil.
  • Cover and reduce the heat to a simmer for 15-20 min.
  • Turn off heat and stir in 1 ½ cups (165 grams) of parmesan cheese.
  • Pour half of the pasta into a greased 11×7 inch or 9×13 inch (28x18 cm or 33x23 cm) baking dish.
  • Sprinkle evenly with 1 cup (115 grams) of mozzarella cheese.
  • Layer the remaining half of the pasta evenly on top. Sprinkle evenly with 1 cup of mozzarella (115 grams) and ½ cup (55 grams) of parmesan.
  • Broil 10 - 15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown. Remove and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

4 garlic cloves, minced
2 ½ cups chicken broth

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, salt, and pepper; cook and stir until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Add garlic; cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add broth and heavy cream; stir in pasta and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until pasta is tender, about 15 minutes.

1 pound cooked chicken meat (We used grilled breasts but a supermarket rotisserie works well)
1 pound raw pasta such as elbow macaroni, penne or ziti
1 pound broccoli florets
1 quart whole milk
1 5.2-ounce package Boursin cheese
1 cup heavy cream
¼ cup sour cream
1 whole egg beaten
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups onions, diced
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon white pepper
Pinch of freshly ground nutmeg
Pinch dry mustard
Kitchen pan spray
1 sleeve Ritz crackers crumbled
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Cut cooked chicken into bite sized pieces, set aside.
  • Cook pasta according to package directions except make it a little undercooked.
  • While pasta is cooking, blanch broccoli in boiling salted water for 1 ½ minutes then cool under cold water to stop cooking process. Set aside.
  • Heat milk to hot in a sauce pan but do not boil. Hold on heat.
  • In a large bowl, mix Boursin cheese, heavy cream, sour cream, beaten egg and the two cups of shredded cheddar. Set aside.
  • In a pan larger than the milk pan, heat butter until melted and add onions and cook for three minutes, then add flour to form a thick roux. Cook four minutes over medium until the raw flour smell is gone. Add hot milk to the butter and flour mixture one third at a time, whipping during each addition. Add salt, pepper, nutmeg and mustard and stir to combine. Remove from heat.
  • Drain hot pasta and add to large bowl with cheese mixture and stir to combine.
  • Add cooked chicken and blanched broccoli and stir to combine.
  • Finally stir in the hot milk mixture and pour into a four quart casserole dish that has been sprayed with kitchen pan spray. Mixture will be loose but firms up after it comes out of the oven and rests.
  • In a small bowl mix crushed Ritz, butter and cheddar and sprinkle over the top of the casserole dish.
  • Bake for 45 minutes uncovered. Remove from oven and let rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.

  • Stir all ingredients, cover the pot with a lid, and bring to a boil. When it begins to boil, uncover and stir. Bring the heat to low, stir, then cover and let simmer for 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes has passed, uncover and add in the broccoli. Stir continually as the broccoli steams until the rest of the liquid evaporates.
  • Add milk and cheddar cheese and stir until the cheese melts and you have a smooth cheese sauce.
  • Add salt and pepper (to taste), cayenne, and nutmeg. Stir once more, then you're ready to serve.

Steps:

  • Boil a large pan of water with a sprinkle of salt, when bubbling, add pasta to water and leave for 10 - 12 minutes. Add broccoli and leave for further 5 minutes, once cooked, drain out and add pasta and broccoli back to pan.
  • Add a tbsp of oil to a large frying pan and add to high heat. Add chicken breast to pan and fry until begins to brown, remove from the pan. Add bacon into pan and fry for around 3 - 5 minutes, then add mushroom, garlic and spring onions and leave for another 2 - 3 minutes.
  • Once bacon has cooked, add chicken back to the pan and stir together gently for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir into pasta.
  • In a medium sized saucepan, melt the soft cheese and butter together on a low heat, stirring together constantly. Once melted together and the sauce is visibly thinner, stir in the milk and add the pesto and stir for roughly 5 minutes. When happy with the sauce, stir into the pasta pan and mix together well so all contents are coated.
  • Now, add all the pasta mix to a deep oven dish and spread out around dish, then sprinkle over Parmesan cheese and put into the oven, for about 30-35 minutes on 200c (Fan Oven) or until Cheese is brown and golden.

Steps:

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and season them with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and starts to lightly brown.

3 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1 -2 inch pieces
2 - 3 Tbsp cooking oil
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 - 2 tsp. salt
24 oz pasta shells (not small and also not the ones used for stuffing)
1 1/2 lb florets of broccoli crowns = 3 - 4 crowns
2 can(s) cream of chicken soup, condensed
1 1/2 soup cans full of milk
16 oz velveeta cheese, cubed
16 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated

Steps:

  • 1. 1) Heat oven to 375 degrees. 2) Butter or grease two 3 quart baking dishes, set aside. 3) Start heating the water for the pasta. 4) Cut chicken into 1 - 2 inch pieces. 5) Heat a large skillet or large pot with cooking oil to med. high; add chicken, salt, pepper, garlic powder and cook until slightly browned, stirring occasionally. 6) At this time the water should be at a rapid boil so add the pasta, you may add salt to the water if desired. Pasta should be al dente so do not cook more then 5 - 6 min, drain and set aside. 7) In the meantime while chicken is browning, cut the broccoli florets off steams and then in half, rinse and set aside. 8) Open cans, set aside. 9) Cube Velveeta, set aside. 10) Grate sharp cheddar cheese, set aside. 11) Once the chicken is browned add; soup, milk, Velveeta and stir until no lumps remain. 12) Turn off heat, stir in broccoli and shells. KEEP IN MIND all of the above ingredients may not fit and you may need to transfer it to a larger pot to stir. 13) Once stirred together divide mixture and pour into the baking dishes, sprinkle with cheese, bake for 25 - 30 minutes. 1 pound penne pasta
1 head broccoli, cut into small (1-inch) florets
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
5 cups whole milk
2 cups grated Gruyere
1 cup sour cream
2/3 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
2 teaspoons hot sauce
12 ounces cooked chicken breast or deli chicken, cut into 1/2-inch dice
1/2 cup chopped crispy-cooked bacon
1/4 cup chopped fresh chives

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Season with salt until it tastes like the sea. Cook the pasta until not quite al dente, about 7 minutes. Transfer with a spaghetti scoop or slotted spoon to a bowl and set aside. Add the broccoli to the pasta water and blanch briefly. Transfer with a slotted spoon to a bowl. Reserve the pasta water.
  • While the pasta is cooking, heat the butter in a large pan over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Whisk in the flour and cook for 2 minutes. Whisk in the milk, then bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook, whisking, until the sauce is slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the Gruyere, sour cream and Parmesan and whisk until smooth. Add the hot sauce and season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the pasta, chicken and broccoli to the sauce. Continue to cook until the pasta is al dente and the sauce coats the pasta, 4 to 5 minutes. Use pasta water to adjust the consistency of the sauce if needed.

4 cups penne pasta (uncooked)
6 cups broccoli (cut into bite sized pieces)
1 tablespoon oil
3 boneless (skinless chicken breasts, cut in bite sized pieces)
1 medium onion (chopped)

½ teaspoon pepper
3 cups mushrooms (quartered)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
2 jars of alfredo sauce (15 oz. each)
¼ cup chicken broth
1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese (shredded and divided)
½ cup parmesan cheese (finely shredded)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375℉. Spray 9x13 pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Cook the penne pasta in a large pot of boiling water for 9 minutes. Add broccoli to the pot and increase the heat to return to a boil. Cook for one more minute. Drain noodles and broccoli in a colander and run under cold water to stop the cooking process. Nothing is worse than mushy broccoli!
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet, and add the chicken,onion, salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes on medium heat and then add the mushrooms and garlic and cook for 4 more minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the alfredo sauce and chicken broth. Add the penne pasta, broccoli, ½ cup mozzarella cheese and stir gently. Pour into prepared pan.
  • Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese.
  • Cook, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes.

This Creamy Chicken Broccoli Pasta Bake is an easy dump-and-bake dinner that's ready to eat in less than 90 minutes. But don't worry - you'll only be actually cooking for 10 minutes! Loaded with broccoli, chicken and cheese this is comfort food at its best - with a heathier twist.

2 Tbsp butter (divided)
1 lb chicken thigh filets (cut in bite-size pieces)
1 tsp paprika powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
½ lb dry penne pasta (uncooked)
½ lb broccoli (cut in bite-sized pieces, stem peeled and chopped)
2 garlic cloves (peeled and crushed, but in one piece)
2 Tbsp chopped parsley (fresh or frozen)
1 cup shredded cheese (divided)
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (divided)
2 cups heavy cream
2 cups milk

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C)
  • Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan over medium-high heat. When the butter is melted, add in the chicken pieces. Season with paprika powder, onion powder, salt and pepper and mix well to spread out the seasonings. Cook for about 2 minutes per side, until the chicken has nice color. It does not have to be cooked all the way through at this stage as it will finish cooking in the oven.
  • Bring out a casserole dish that measures about 8x10 inches (20x25 cm). Grease with 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • Place the uncooked pasta in the greased casserole dish. Follow with the cooked chicken, including any leftover fat from frying. Then add chopped broccoli, garlic cloves, parsley and half of both the shredded neutral cheese and the shredded parmesan. Mix as well as possible.
  • Pour over the cream and the milk, and top with the remaining cheese. Make sure all pieces of pasta are completely submerged.
  • Place in middle of the oven and cook for about 1 hour, until the pasta is cooked through. Check often toward the end, and cover with aluminium foil if it starts to get too much color. Then bring out, and let sit at least 10 minutes before serving.

Cheesy, creamy and so delicious! This Chicken and Broccoli Pasta Bake is super easy to make with lots homemade sauce, tender chicken and perfectly cooked broccoli. Baked until hot and bubbly with melty mozzarella cheese on top!

8 ounces pasta ((I used rigatoni))
3 cups fresh broccoli florets ((about 1-2 heads))
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 yellow onion, finely chopped
1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite size pieces
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup flour
1 cup chicken broth
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/2 cups mozarella cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, then add the pasta. Careful not to overcook the pasta, as it will continue to cook in the oven. Once the pasta is about 2 minutes from al dente, add the broccoli and cook another 2 minutes. Drain and transfer to baking dish. I used a 8x10 inch dish.
  • Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 3 tablespoons butter, onion, and chicken. Cook until the chicken is lightly browned, about 5-7 minutes. The chicken will finish cooking in the oven.
  • Add the remaining tablespoon of butter and garlic to the skillet with the chicken and onion; cook for one minute. Mix in the flour and cook another minute. While mixing, slowly pour in the chicken broth then milk. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, until thickened to gravy consistency.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and mix in the salt, pepper, nutmeg, parmesan, cheddar and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese. Pour over the pasta and broccoli in the baking dish and mix together. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is lightly golden brown and the sauce is bubbling around the edges.

This should take about 5 minutes.Remove the sauce from the heat and add 1 cup grated Fontina, 1 cup mozzarella, and ¼ cup Parmesan. Stir until the cheese has fully melted.
