It doesn't take much to turn chicken wings into party-perfect finger food. If you've got CATALINA Dressing and lite soy sauce, you're ready for action.

1-1/2 cups KRAFT Classic CATALINA Dressing
1/4 cup lite soy sauce
5 lb. chicken wings, split at joints, tips removed

Steps:

  • Mix dressing and soy sauce; reserve 1/2 cup for later use. Pour remaining dressing mixture over chicken in shallow dish; turn over to evenly coat each wing. Refrigerate 3 hours to marinate.
  • Heat grill to medium heat. Drain chicken; discard marinade. Grill chicken 8 min. on each side or until done (165°F), turning occasionally and brushing with reserved dressing mixture.

This is an adopted recipe, simple and tasty. for OAMC freeze after step 3. Thaw overnight and then cook as directed.

1 (8 ounce) bottle catalina French dressing, I use Clone Kraft's Catalina Salad Dressing
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons minced peeled fresh ginger
1 1/2 dozen chicken wings, disjointed and tips removed (2 1/2 lbs, or your favourite chicken pieces breasts, thighs or quarters)

Steps:

  • Combine dressing, soy sauce and ginger.
  • Pour over chicken.
  • Cover and marinate 6 hours or overnight.
  • Drain, reserving marinade.
  • Place wings on broiler pan.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, turning once.
  • Brush occasionally with marinade.
  • Serve warm.

Chicken wings coated with a tangy and sweet sauce made with California French (Catalina) dressing.

3-4 lbs chicken wings (wing tip removed and disjointed (see NOTES))
2-3 tbsp olive oil (only use if you grill or bake the wings)
3/4 cup California French (Catalina dressing - OR- regular French dressing)
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, mix all the sauce ingredients. Bring to boil over medium heat and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Toss the wings with the 2-3 tbs olive oil if grilling or baking.
  • Cook wings either by grilling, baking, deep frying or slow cooking. I grilled mine on my gas grill and cooked them over medium-low heat for 40 minutes, turning once. Same time would apply to baking at 350 degrees F. Deep frying cook at 350 degrees F for 8-9 minutes. Slow cooking 4-6 hours on low.
  • Place cooked wings in a large bowl, pour sauce over them and toss to coat.

Oven-Roasted Carolina BBQ Chicken Wings image

No one will guess that these wings are made in the oven. The baking powder in the breading helps crisp up the skin, and then they're drenched in my traditional Carolina BBQ sauce, a mustard-based sauce. The sauce is great on pork too, and you can make it ahead and keep it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Nonstick cooking spray, for the baking sheets
1 cup yellow mustard
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons hot sauce
3 pounds whole chicken wings (about 14 wings)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons Miss Brown's House Seasoning, recipe follows
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line two rimmed baking sheets with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top of each. Coat the racks with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Make the Carolina BBQ sauce: Whisk together the mustard, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Simmer, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens and the sugars dissolve, about 10 minutes. Set aside half of the sauce for the final basting and for serving.
  • Make the oven-roasted chicken wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Stir together the flour, House Seasoning and baking powder in a bowl. Dredge the chicken wings in the flour mixture and arrange on the wire racks in a single layer. Bake for 30 minutes. Turn, then baste with the Carolina BBQ sauce and bake until the chicken wings are browned and crispy and a thermometer registers 165 degrees F, 15 to 20 minutes longer.
  • Brush the roasted chicken wings with the reserved sauce before serving.
  • Stir together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
