A buttery easy to make beer bread. It is so delicious!

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3 TBS sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 TBS baking powder
dash salt
2 TBS vegetable oil
1 12 oz bottle beer
1 TBS butter (melted)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 ° and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl add the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Whisk until all these ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Add the beer bread and then the oil to the dry ingredients and mix with a spoon until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
  • Turn the batter out into the greased loaf pan and drizzle the melted butter on top of the batter.
  • Bake for 45 minutes until the crust is deep golden brown and the bread is done.
  • Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Then turn the loaf out and cool on the wire rack.
  • Slice and enjoy!

This Buttery Beer Bread is an fun, easy twist on a classic quick bread recipe. It's made using just a few ingredients and comes out soft and oh so buttery!

3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 bottle (12 ounces) beer
1 stick unsalted butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan. Line with parchment paper for easy removal (optional). In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Using a wooden spoon, stir the beer into the dry ingredients until just mixed. Pour half the melted butter into the bottom of the loaf pan. Then spoon the batter into the pan, and pour the rest of the butter on top of the batter. Place loaf pan on cookie sheet in case there is any butter that spills over as it bakes. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve immediately with a smear of more butter, or reheat in the microwave for 20 seconds.

2 1/2 cups self rising flour
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons sugar
1 bottle beer
1/4 cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Mix flour, parsley and sugar on low for 1 minute.
  • Add beer and continue to mix for another minute or until beer is thoroughly incorporated Pour batter into lightly greased loaf pan.
  • Pour melted butter on top.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

I received this recipe from a friend after desperately trying to find a cheaper way to make beer bread rather than paying $6 a loaf for Tastefully Simple. My mother in law raves over this and she sells TS. She likes this version better and I must say my family doesn't even know the difference.

3 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 (12 ounce) bottle beer, at room temperature
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted you can use less

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F In a mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients. Add the beer all at once, mixing as little as possible; the batter should be lumpy.
  • Pour the batter into a 9-x-5-x-3-inch loaf pan and brush with the melted butter. Bake in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until an inserted skewer comes out clean. Turn out onto a rack to cool.
