- Crush the cookies. Place the cookies in the bowl of a food processor with the steel blade attached. Process until fine crumbs form. Editor’s Tip: No food processor?
- Combine with cream cheese. Place the cookie crumbs into the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attached. Add the softened cream cheese and mix together until thoroughly combined.
- Make the balls. Use a scoop or spoon to form 1-inch balls. Set the balls on your parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Chill. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and chill the Oreo balls for at least 20 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to melt the chocolate wafers. If you want to get a little colorful, you can substitute candy melts for the chocolate.
- Get dipping. Use a fork to dip each chilled ball in the melted chocolate. Gently tap the ball to remove any excess chocolate and then set back it on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Decorate. Immediately decorate each chocolate-coated ball with sprinkles or other edible decorations of your choice.
- Let it set. Let the chocolate set completely before serving or packing the balls for storage. Oreo balls can be tucked away in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.

- Add Oreos to a food processor and pulse until finely crumbled. Add in cream cheese and pulse until mixture combines and forms a ball. Transfer to a bowl and mix in 2 tablespoons of sprinkles using a rubber spatula.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and, using a cookie scoop to measure, roll out 24 balls. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
- Pour the candy melts into a microwave safe bowl and melt according to package directions. Carefully dip the truffle into the melted candy melts, letting the excess chocolate drip off, and place on parchment lined baking sheet to dry. Sprinkle with remaining sprinkles before the candy coating is completely set.

- Place 20 whole Oreos into a food processor and mix them at high speed until they get crushed down to a coarse powder.
- Now remove the blades out of the food processor making sure to scrape off any extra cake ball “dough” back inside. Now begin scooping out cake balls using a medium cookie scoop
- Now melt 10 oz of white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals. To thin the candy coating out you can use hot cream but dipping aid chips work best. If you use Ghirardelli brand, they don’t need to be thinned out at all.
- Then take each Oreo cake ball and dip them into the melted candy melts using a fork. Then carefully transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment and let the chocolate coating set.
