1 whole wheat tortilla, I prefer Carlita brand for the best texture
1.5 Tbsp. chocolate almond butter
1 small banana

Steps:

  • Spread the almond butter over half of the tortilla. Top the almond butter with sliced bananas and fold the tortilla in half. Spray each side with a quick shot of non-stick pan spray.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the quesadilla on each side for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown. Slice in half and enjoy immediately.

Quick, easy and totally delicious you'll want to make this Banana & Chocolate Quesadilla again and again as it's sure to be a big hit!

1 Tortilla wrap (I used seeded)
Nutella or chocolate spread (for spreading)
1 Banana (sliced)
Rapeseed oil (for brushing)

Steps:

  • Lay the tortilla wrap on a board and spread a thick layer of Nutella/chocolate spread over half of it (leaving the other half bare).
  • Lay the banana slices on top of the Nutella side to fully cover.
  • Fold the bare side over the filled side and brush top with oil, then flip over carefully and brush other side with oil.
  • Pre-heat a frying pan (medium heat) and then cook the Quesadilla for a minute or so on each side until golden brown. (When flipping it's easier to flip from the curved side across the fold).
  • Cut the Quesadilla into 4 wedges and serve on its own or with ice cream.
  • Serves 1 - 2 depending on how hungry you are!

2 strawberries, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • Spread the chocolate hazelnut spread evenly over the tortilla.
  • Place the banana and strawberry slices on the top half of the tortilla.
  • Fold the tortilla in half from the bottom, then fold in the sides, being careful not to tear the tortilla.
  • Toast on medium-high, until golden brown. Watch to make sure it doesn't burn. Let cool for 1-2 minutes before removing from the toaster.
  • Enjoy!

1 oz. BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, coarsely chopped
2 Tbsp. chopped PLANTERS Dry Roasted Peanuts
1/2 banana, sliced

Steps:

  • Heat grill to medium heat.
  • Fold up sides of 16-inch-long sheet of heavy-duty foil to resemble shallow pan; spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Place on grill grate.
  • Place tortilla on foil; heat 30 to 40 sec. or until softened.
  • Sprinkle chocolate and nuts onto half the tortilla; top with bananas. Fold tortilla in half to enclose filling.
  • Grill 3 to 4 min. or until chocolate is melted. Turn quesadilla; grill 1 min. Cut into 4 wedges to serve.

1 flour tortilla
1 tablespoon chocolate chips
cinnamon
sugar
butter or margarine

Steps:

  • Lightly coat the flour tortilla with butter on both sides and start heating on a skillet.
  • Place chocolate chips on one half of the tortilla and lightly dust with cinnamon and sugar to taste.
  • Fold the tortilla in half and grill until lightly browned.
  • Turning to brown other side as well.

These are delicious dessert quesadillas! An Emeril recipe from his episode on tortillas. My young nephew loves these, but we did too! I serve drizzled with store-bought caramel sauce or chocolate sauce. This makes 10 servings, so you may want to scale down the recipe.

1 lb cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
2 medium ripe bananas, peeled
10 flour tortillas (7 inches in diameter)
4 tablespoons butter
2 1/2 cups caramel sauce, warm,recipe follows
4 medium bananas
whipped cream (optional, for serving)

Steps:

  • In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add the sugar and bananas, continue to beat until smooth.
  • Spread 1/4 cup of the filling over half of each tortilla.
  • Fold the other half over the filling and press slightly.
  • Place on a large plate and cover with plastic wrap.
  • Refrigerate until the filling sets, about 30 minutes.
  • In a large saute pan, over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of the butter.
  • Pan-fry the tortillas in batches, 3 at a time, until golden on each side, about 2 minutes per side.
  • Repeat the above process with the remaining butter and filled tortillas.
  • To serve, slice each filled tortilla into thirds.
  • Arrange the slices in the center of each serving plate.
  • Spoon a 1/4 cup of the warm caramel sauce over each plate.
  • Peel the bananas and slice 1/4-inch thick.
  • Garnish each plate with the sliced bananas and whipped cream, if desired.
