A quick copycat recipe that doesn't use dry ice. This does not store well so only make up what you want to use. Root beer concentrate can be found at your grocery store next to the extracts and flavorings.

3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup hot water
1/2 teaspoon root beer concentrate
4 cups cold seltzer water

Steps:

Dissolve sugar in hot water.
Add root beer flavoring.
Slowly add to seltzer water and serve over ice.

McCcormick with my twist. Made it. Delicious! Delicious A&W root Beer recipe that goes great with a scoop of vanilla Ice Cream (root beer float).

Number Of Ingredients 5

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups water
1/2 cup lite corn syrup
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons root beer concentrate (McCormick is best)
1 liter cold soda water or 1 liter club soda

Steps:

Bring water to boil in medium saucepan.
Stir in sugar until dissolved.
Add Concentrate; stir until well mixed.
Refrigerate mixture until ready to serve. Slowly pour soda water or club soda into root beer mixture until well blended.
serve.
