1 tablespoon unsalted butter
4 Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored, cut into 16ths
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 orange, juiced
Vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • In a medium heated skillet add the butter then add the apples. Cook for about 2 to 5 minutes then add the cinnamon, brown sugar and orange juice. Swirl the apples around to make sure they all get coated. Cook another 5 minutes until apples are soft and caramelize. Serve warm with scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Roll out aluminum foil into a cone. Make 4 cones for 1 pie sheet.
  • Cut pie sheet into quarters. Place cone at one end of the sheet and roll dough onto the cone. Using a fork crimp the ends of the pie dough.
  • Bake 5-10 minutes until the dough is set. Let it cool before pulling out the aluminum foil.
  • In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix.
  • Place pie cone in a mug for stability and spoon in the fruit mixture.
  • Turn oven down to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 15 minutes or until the fruit is soft.
  • Top it with ice cream and your favorite topping.

2 ½ cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 ½ sticks butter, 1 1/2 sticks, cold, cubed
8 tablespoons ice water, or as needed
2 ½ lb granny smith apple, cored, sliced, peeled
¾ cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
½ lemon
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon sugar
1 scoop vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • In a medium-sized bowl, add the flour and salt. Mix with fork until combined.
  • Add in cubed butter and break up into flour with a fork. Mixture will still have lumps about the size of small peas.
  • Gradually add the ice water and continue to mix until the dough starts to come together. You may not need all of the water, but if the dough is too dry then add more. The dough should not be very tacky or sticky.
  • Work the dough together with your hands and turn out onto a surface. Work into a ball and cover with cling wrap. Refrigerate.
  • Peel the apples, then core and slice.
  • In a bowl, add the sliced apples, sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and juice from the lemon.
  • Mix until combined and all apples are coated. Refrigerate.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (200°C).
  • On a floured surface, cut the pie dough in half and roll out both halves until round and about ⅛-inch (3 mm) thick.
  • Roll the dough around the rolling pin and unroll onto a pie dish making sure the dough reaches all edges. Trim extra if necessary.
  • Pour in apple filling mixture and pat down.
  • Roll the other half of the dough on top.
  • Trim the extra dough from the edges and pinch the edges to create a crimp. Make sure edges are sealed together.
  • Brush the pie with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the sugar.
  • Cut four slits in the top of the pie to create a vent.
  • Bake pie for 50-60 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and no greyish or undercooked pastry remains.
  • Allow to cool completely before slicing.
  • Top with ice cream and serve.

8 oatmeal cookies, crushed
2 tablespoons melted butter, divided
2 large apples, peeled, cored and sliced
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 cups whipping cream
1 ½ cups half and half
1 cup white sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
¼ cup chopped toasted walnuts
¼ cup dulce de leche or caramel ice cream topping

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Mix the crushed cookies with 1 tablespoon of melted butter, and press onto a baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes, then remove, allow to cool completely, then crumble.
  • Melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the apples, 3 tablespoons sugar, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Cook until the apples have lightly browned, and the sugar has begun to caramelize, about 10 minutes. Remove from the pan, and allow to cool completely.
  • Combine cream, half and half, 1 cup sugar, eggs, vanilla, and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon in a large bowl; mix to blend well. Pour into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • When the ice cream has finished, stir in the crumbled cookie, caramelized apples, and walnuts. Add the dulce de leche by the teaspoon while stirring to evenly distribute.

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 cups milk
4 eggs, lightly beaten
4 cups heavy whipping cream
3 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling, chopped
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, flour and salt; gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Whisk a small amount of the hot mixture into the eggs. Return all to the pan, whisking constantly. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture reaches at least 160° and coats the back of a metal spoon. , Remove from the heat. Cool quickly by placing pan in a bowl of ice water; stir for 2 minutes. Stir in whipping cream and vanilla. Add pie filling and cinnamon. Press waxed paper onto surface of custard. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight., Fill cylinder of ice cream freezer two-thirds full; freeze according to the manufacturer's directions. Refrigerate remaining mixture until ready to freeze. When ice cream is frozen, transfer to a freezer container; freeze for 2-4 hours before serving.

2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ cup graham cracker, crushed
2 granny smith apples, diced
1 ½ teaspoons lemon juice
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
½ cup brown sugar
2 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons nutmeg

Steps:

  • Apple Pie Filling:
  • Peel and core the apples, and dice them. Toss the apples in lemon juice and set aside.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg and mix together.
  • Add in the apples and cook them down. This should take about 10 minutes or so. Remember to keep stirring the apple mixture occasionally.
  • Allow the filling to cool slightly, then cover it with plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator to cool completely.
  • Ice Cream:
  • Using your stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. About 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a medium-sized bowl add the sweetened condensed milk, cinnamon, and crushed graham crackers. Whisk to combine.
  • Add the condensed milk mixture to the whipped cream and whisk to combine.
  • Fold the cooled apple pie filling into the ice cream, and store in an airtight container for at least 6 hours.
  • Serve.

2 large flour tortillas
¼ cup melted butter
¼ cup sugar

vanilla ice cream, for serving
caramel sauce, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350˚F (180˚C).
  • Peel and core the apples. Soak the peeled apples in a large bowl filled with water and lemon juice so they won't brown. Working one at a time, thinly slice the apples.
  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the apple slices and sprinkle with the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir continuously and cook until the apples are soft, about 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat.
  • Make the taco shells: Using a cookie cutter or the lid of a mason jar, cut out 14 small circles from the tortillas.
  • Brush the small tortilla rounds with melted butter and coat with cinnamon sugar. Shape the cut-out tortillas to look like taco shells and place between the cups of an upside-down muffin tin to hold their shapes.
