Steps:
- Place the frozen tilapia fillets on an aluminum or stainless steel baking pan while preheating air fryer and measuring ingredients.
- Crazy Good Tip: These few minutes on the baking pan will ever so slightly thaw the fillets just enough to allow the breadcrumbs to stick to the oil on them. Here's the article from The Kitchn spelling out the details of why placing frozen fish and meat on aluminum and stainless steel thaws significantly quicker than stone, wood or plastic surfaces.
- Preheat air fryer to 390-400 degrees for 3 minutes. Most air fryers preset "air fryer" button is 390F to 400F degrees.
- Spray or coat fish fillets with olive oil sprayer or mister or brush with olive oil. (Not Pam aerosol vegetable cooking spray)
- Sprinkle both sides of fillets with salt and if desired, pepper.
- Sprinkle the top side of fillets with Parmesan cheese.
- Place the dry breadcrumbs on a plate and gently press the fish into the breadcrumbs to coat them. If you have trouble getting the breadcrumbs to stick to the fish, wait just a few minutes or
- I like to spray the breaded fish again on top with a little bit of olive oil spray (again, not aerosol)
- Frozen fish: Air Fry at 390-400 degrees for 9 t0 11 minutes, without turning, depending on thickness of fish until fish flakes easily in the center.
- Fresh fish: Air Fry at 390-400 degrees for 7 minutes, without turning, depending on thickness of fish until fish flakes easily in the center.
- Carefully remove the fish with a silicone coated spatula to prevent scraping the nonstick surface.

AIR FRYER GARLIC PARMESAN CRUSTED WHITE FISH (KETO)
What makes this air fryer fish recipe is the smoky spices that are added to the Parmesan crust mixture. We love smoked paprika but you can use a combination of chili powder, chipotle or smoked paprika if you want.To help the cheese stick more, you can dip the fish in beaten egg. The egg will add more calories. Using perforated parchment paper makes cooking fish in the air fryer a dream. If you don't have any, get some. Until then, just make sure to oil the basket or tray well before placing the fish in the air fryer.

The egg will add more calories.

Steps:
- Prepare cajun tartar sauce. Add all ingredients to a small bowl and whisk well to combine. Cover and place in the fridge for 1 hour prior to serving.
- Cut fish into 3" by 1/2" strips. *The easiest way to make these uniform in size that I found was cutting the filet down the center, then cutting each half in half again length-wise, then finally cutting in half width-wise.
- Create a dredging station. Add breadcrumbs and shredded parmesan to one bowl. Add minced garlic, black pepper, cajun seasoning, mayo, sour cream, and dijon mustard to a separate bowl and whisk to combine.
- Dip the fish into the bowl with mayo, then roll in the breadcrumb and parmesan mix. Repeat with all fish sticks.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper or foil and place fish inside. Spray fish lightly with canola oil. Depending on the size of the air fryer this may take 2 batches. Do not stack the fish sticks or crowd them
- Set the air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit. Cook for 5 minutes, flip, and cook for 5 more minutes.
- Serve with cajun tartar sauce. Enjoy!

Homemade fish sticks that are perfectly crisp on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. This was my first attempt at making them in an air fryer, and the results were quite impressive. Dip in tarter or cocktail sauce.

Steps:
- Spray the basket of a 3.5-quart air fryer with cooking spray and set aside. Cut the cod into strips, about 3 inches long, 1/2 inch wide and 1/2 inch thick. Pat dry between a couple paper towels, then season with a pinch of salt and a few grinds of pepper.
- Whisk the flour with 1/2 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper in a shallow bowl. Whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt in a second shallow bowl. Whisk the breadcrumbs, Pecorino Romano and seafood seasoning in a third shallow bowl until combined. Dip a piece of fish in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess, then dip in the beaten egg. Dredge in the breadcrumb mixture, turning until evenly coated. Transfer to a large plate or a rimmed baking sheet and continue until all the fish are coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F. Working in batches, place some of the fish sticks in the fryer basket in a single layer, then spray lightly with more nonstick cooking spray. Cook until the fish sticks are golden brown and opaque throughout, flipping halfway through, 3 to 4 minutes a side.
- Serve with lemon wedges and tartar sauce, for dipping.
