Ultimate Cadillac Margarita Food

THE REAL CADILLAC MARGARITA

Steps:

• Pour a thin line of kosher salt on a plate. Rub lime slice around outside rim of martini glass to wet rim with lime juice. Turn martini glass sideways and roll the rim in the line of kosher salt.
• Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add fresh lime juice, tequila, and triple sec. Shake very well.
• Pour shaken mixture into the salt-rimmed martini glass, leaving all ice in the shaker.
• Slowly pour the 1/2 ounce of Cointreau, Grand Marnier, or Gran Gala on top.
• Garnish with lime slice on rim and lime peel twist/curl in drink.
• Enjoy the purists' margarita. :).

ULTIMATE CADILLAC MARGARITA

Steps:

• Fill your shaker 3/4 full with ice
• Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and simple syrup
• Wet rim of glass with water or lime juice
• Dip glass into plate of Kosher salt
• Pour 1 ounce of Grand Marnier into each shot glass, set aside
• Cap shaker and shake for 30 seconds
• Add extra ice to both glasses and pour contents of the shaker equally between the two glasses, being careful not to pour it over the salted rims
• Put lime wheels on the rim of the glasses
• Set shots of Grand Marnier beside glass of margarita
• Serve
• Pour Grand Marnier into margarita or do it as a shot
• Lick some salt off rim
• Sip drink
• Smile

ULTIMATE MARGARITA

Steps:

• To salt the margarita glasses, rub the outside rims of 4 big glasses with a cut lime and press them lightly into a plate of kosher salt, to coat.
• Combine the lime juice, sugar, orange liqueur, Triple Sec, tequila, and a big handful of ice in a cocktail shaker (or blender). Shake the margarita really well, for a good 20 seconds, add a splash of beer and strain into the salt rimmed glasses filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.

• Shake tequila, triple sec, sweet and sour mix, and lime juice with ice. Pour over ice in salt-rimmed margarita glass. Float Grand Marnier on top. Garnish with slice of lime if desired. To rim a glass with salt, place a paper towel on a saucer and get wet. Place some salt in another saucer. Take the margarita glass and run the rim around the wet paper towel to get wet. Then dip into the salt. Let sit for a few minutes to dry before pouring the margarita into the glass and serving.
