This creamy cheesy Tater Tot casserole takes potatoes to a whole new level of deliciousness.

Ingredients

1/2 of a 32-oz. package of frozen Tater Tots
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup of sour cream
2 tablespoons of milk (whatever kind you have on hand)
2 tablespoons of melted butter
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup of crushed plain potato chips
1/4 cup of bacon bits

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 and spray the bottom of a 7" x 11" casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Fold in the Tater Tots and stir until they are all coated with the mixture.
Pour the mixture into the casserole dish.
Sprinkle the cheese, potato chips, and bacon bits over the top.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Serve hot.

Ingredients

2 pounds tater tots, thawed
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 (8 ounce) package sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 dash garlic powder
½ teaspoon seasoning salt
½ cup butter, softened
3 cups cornflakes cereal
½ cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
paprika to taste

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish.
In a large mixing bowl combine tater tots, soup, onion, sour cream, cheese, garlic powder, seasoning salt and softened butter; mix well. Transfer to casserole dish. In a medium bowl combine cereal and melted butter; spread over casserole. Sprinkle the top with parmesan cheese (use more or less according to your taste) and paprika.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until browned. (Note: It's a good idea to put a cookie sheet under the casserole dish, in case it bubbles over while cooking.)

Brown the lean ground beef in a large skillet (pan) over medium-high heat until it is completely cooked. Using a slotted spoon, remove the cooked lean ground beef into a bowl and set it aside.
Melt butter in the same pan, add the mushrooms, garlic, and onion. Cook over medium heat until mushrooms are softened and the garlic and onion are translucent. Add in the cooked lean ground beef. Add the flour and combine the ingredients. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add beef stock and milk and combine. Add the ground thyme, Worcestershire sauce, kosher salt, and pepper, and combine. Bring to a simmer and allow to simmer 15-20 minutes. The mixture should be thick, yet saucy.
