Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out 1 puff pastry sheet and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spread chocolate-hazelnut spread evenly onto puff pastry with the back of a spoon. Roll out the second sheet of puff pastry and place on top.
- Place a glass or Mason jar face-down in the center of the puff pastry. Cut pastry into 4 equal strips with a sharp knife, stopping at the border of the glass. Cut through each quarter again, making 8 strips, and again, ending up with a total of 16 equal parts, while keeping the center intact. Twist 2 parts away from each other; pull outward and seal seams together. Repeat with the rest of the parts until pastry resembles a star.
- Brush top with beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven until puffy and golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes. Cool slightly, about 5 minutes, before serving.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Lightly flour a board or counter top and lightly roll out the thawed pastry dough to about half its original thickness.
- Cut into six pieces as follows - (I used Pepperidge Farm's frozen puff pastry (US$ 4.99 in 2009) which came as two sheets folded in thirds (like a letter). One of the thirds can be broken off and cut in half to form two pastries, while the other two thirds is cut perpendicular to the fold into four sections. That makes the pieces form a good sized rectangle of about 3 inches by 4 inches when folded and baked).
- On one half of the pastry piece, spread about 1 tablespoon Nutella or other chocolate spread, leaving a small edge on all sides. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons hazelnuts over the Nutella, if you wish.
- Add 1 tablespoon of water to an egg in a separate bowl and whisk until well blended. Brush the egg wash on the empty edges, then fold the second half of the pastry sheet over the Nutella side and use your fingers or fork prongs to pinch closed.
- Brush the tops with the egg wash and sprinkle granulated sugar on top.
- Make two slits with a sharp knife through the top layer of pastry. Place on a cookie sheet. You may also line the sheet with parchment paper, if you wish.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Serve warm.

I Desperately Wanted a Ferrero Rocher, But the nuts hurt my teeth. So I was thinking, what is the closest I can get to a Ferrero Rocher Without hurting my teeth from chewing the nuts?? You can Mix the Nutella with almost anything. Things we've tried so far were creamy Peanut Butter, Cashew Butter, and Crunchy Peanut Butter. Make sure you have a cupcake or muffin pan, Pizza cutter or sharp knife and Melt the butter!

- Flatten it out with your hands or use a rolling pin to smooth it a bit.Use a pizza cutter to cut the pastry into 3 strips (right along the fold lines).
- Make 4 cuts the other way, so you end up with 12 squares. At this point you can add the Nutella and bake, or if you want the baby ones that are shown in the final photos, split each square in half one more time to make a rectangle (see photos).Use two spoons to add a very small amount of Nutella to the center of each piece of dough.
- Seriously, we're talking like a teaspoon at the most. (Add a little more if you are only making 12 puffs.)Fold the dough over and seal by pinching them together with wet fingers.
