NO-YEAST BEER PIZZA DOUGH

No-Yeast Beer Pizza Dough image

This beer pizza dough comes together in less than 30 minutes and makes a soft, airy crust that stands up to any combination of toppings.

Provided by Peggy Paul Casella

Categories     Appetizer     Main Course

Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 4

3 cups plus 2 tablespoons bread flour (dipped and leveled, plus more for dusting)
1 tablespoon baking powder
1½ teaspoons fine sea salt
1 (12-ounce) bottle or can light-colored beer (such as pilsner, lager, hefeweizen, saison, or IPA) (at room temperature)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, and salt with a wooden spoon, whisk, or dough whisk. Pour in the beer and continue mixing until a sticky dough forms and begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
  • Dust a work surface generously with flour. Scoop the dough onto your work surface and knead it until it is smooth and elastic and no longer sticks to your hands, sprinkling with more flour as needed. Divide the dough into 2 equal pieces and form each one into a ball. Cover the dough balls with plastic wrap or a large upside-down bowl. Let rest for at least 15 minutes or up to 2 hours before using.
  • Roll or stretch the dough as you would any other pizza dough, transfer it to an oiled baking sheet or floured pizza peel (if using a baking stone/steel), and top it with whatever toppings you like.
  • If you're using a baking sheet, bake the pizza at 500°F for 10 to 12 minutes or until the crust is golden. If using a baking stone/steel, place the stone or steel in the bottom third of the oven, preheat to 500°F or as hot as your oven can get, and then turn on the broiler. Shimmy the pizza from the peel to the stone and broil the pizza for 5 to 7 minutes, until the crust and toppings have begun to blister.

NO-YEAST PIZZA DOUGH

No-Yeast Pizza Dough image

The remarkable thing about this easy pizza dough is that it contains no yeast -- and no yeast means no waiting. The pizza takes about 20 minutes from start to finish, and comes out fluffy and crisp on the bottom.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Time 20m

Yield 3 to 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
1 tablespoon coarse cornmeal
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons olive oil
Assorted pizza toppings such as sauce, shredded cheese, meat and vegetables, as desired

Steps:

  • Position an oven rack about 8 inches from the broiler element and preheat the broiler.
  • Combine the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, salt and baking soda in a food processor and pulse to combine. With the motor running, add 1/2 cup water and process, scraping down the sides as needed, until the flour is incorporated and the dough comes together to form a ball that is still slightly sticky.
  • Lightly flour a work surface and your hands. Form the dough into a neat ball between your hands and put on the work surface. Sprinkle with flour and roll into a 10-inch circle.
  • Spread the olive oil in a 12-inch cast-iron skillet to cover the bottom. Put the dough in the skillet and flip so both sides are coated in oil. Top with the desired toppings.
  • Put the skillet over high heat and cook for 5 minutes, then transfer to the boiler and cook until the cheese is melted and golden, about 4 minutes.

PIZZA DOUGH (WITH NO YEAST)

Pizza Dough (With No Yeast) image

I like this recipe because it's simple and uses ingredients I always have on hand. I got it from my dad, I can't say for sure where it originally came from, but maybe from a Betty Crocker cookbook. This dough also works well for making meat pies.

1 (12 ounce) can beer (I use light)
olive oil

  • Bake for 12- 15 minutes or until golden brown on top.

EASY NO YEAST PIZZA DOUGH

Easy No Yeast Pizza Dough image

I've made this several times and it always turns out good. Make sure you knead the dough for the required 5-7 minutes. I have added dried herbs and onion flakes right into the dough as well.

Provided by Chef Joey Z.

Categories     Breads

Time 50m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/2 cups white spelt flour
1 tablespoon baking powder (non-aluminum)
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 cup filtered water
2 tablespoons olive oil

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 400'F.
  • Place the flour, baking powder and the salt into a bowl. Make a well in the center and add the water and oil.
  • Combine by gradually incorporating the flour into the olive oil and water. You may want to add a little more water if necessary.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured board and knead it at least for 5-7 minutes.
  • Let the dough rest in an air tight plastic bag while you prepare the toppings for your pizza.
  • Once the toppings are made, set them aside and take the dough out of the plastic bag.
  • Put a tiny bit of oil in the center of your pizza pan and with your hands and finger tips spread the dough to cover the pan. I use a 12 inch pizza pan. You could probably stretch it to 15 inches, but it would be a thinner crust.
  • Place your pizza sauce on the dough and then cover with your favorite toppings.
  • Pop it into the preheated oven. Check it after about 20 minutes to see how the crust is browning. Some ovens are hotter then others, so this is a good habit to get into.
  • Bon Appetit!
  • P.S.: If you change the ingredients in this recipe I can't guarantee it's going to turn out the way mine did. But, hey, experiment with it. Thanks for choosing my recipe!
