Molly has had turkey, chicken, beef, pork and every type of fish known to man & made into cat food - so I will be avoiding those proteins for her diet. May 28, 2016 You can probably go with dog food and add in Taurine. Usually that's the critical ingredient that's missing in dog food, particularly if you are looking at a novel protein food. As a matter of fact, I believe Nature's Variety Limited dog and cat are the exact same food, but you can get the DOG food in the large cans, thus saving a bunch of money. From thecatsite.com
