Honeydew Melon Margarita Food

HONEYDEW MARGARITA

Steps:

• In a blender or food processor, puree chopped honeydew melon until smooth.
• Pour into a cocktail shaker or large glass. Add tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, simple syrup and a few ice cubes.
• Pour a couple tablespoons sea salt into a shallow bowl. Rub rims of cocktail glasses with lime wedges and dip in salt to coat. Fill glasses with ice.
• Shake or stir the mixture in a cocktail shaker or glass until very cold and well mixed.
• Strain (or not) into prepared glasses.
• Garnish with lime wedges, if desired.

HONEYDEW MELON MARGARITA

Steps:

• Place all the ingredients into the glass of a blender and pulse until everything is incorporated and slushie.
• Pour into a pitcher. Meanwhile rim the glasses. Rub a lime wedge around the top rim of a glass. Fill a small bowl with salt and dip the glass in it to evenly coat the border.
• Pour the frozen margarita into the glass and decorate with a lime wedge.

HONEYDEW MELON MARGARITAS

Steps:

• Line a rimmed baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.
• Cut melon from the rind, removing any seeds; cut cubes approximately 3/4 inches in size. Place melon cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Place in the freezer until frozen.
• After they are frozen, the melon cubes may be stored together in a plastic bag or freezer-safe container. Note: if melon cubes are frozen together instead of individually first, they will form a large block due to the high water content in the melon.
• Place all ingredients into a blender and blend starting at low speed, increasing to higher speed, until the melon cubes are pulverized. Recipe may be doubled in one blending.

HONEYDEW MARGARITA

Steps:

• Rub rims of 2 margarita glasses with lime wedges; dip rims in salt to coat.
• In cocktail shaker, place lemonade, tequila, liqueur and pineapple juice; shake well. Strain into glasses. Add melon balls to each glass. Garnish with lime and lemon slices.

HONEYDEW MARGARITAS

Steps:

• Puree 2 cups chopped honeydew melon in a blender until smooth. Pour into a large cocktail shaker. Add 1/2 cup silver tequila, 3 tablespoons lime juice, 1 tablespoon orange liqueur and 1 teaspoon agave nectar. Rub the rims of 2 rocks glasses with lime wedges and dip in a mix of 1 teaspoon sugar and 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt. Add a handful of ice to the shaker and shake until very cold. Fill the prepared glasses with ice; strain the margaritas into the glasses.

FROZEN HONEYDEW MARGARITAS

Steps:

• Remove and discard rind and seeds from melon and cut enough fruit into 1/2-inch cubes to measure 3 1/2 cups. Freeze melon cubes in a sealable plastic bag at least 3 hours and up to a week.
• Puree frozen honeydew in a blender with remaining ingredients until smooth. Pour drink into 4 stemmed glasses.

HONEYDEW MELON MARGARITAS

Steps:

• Place all of the ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth.
• Serve in chilled glasses.

HONEYDEW MARGARITA

Steps:

• Shake all ingredients with ice, pour into a glass and garnish with melon balls.
• Salt on the rim is optional.
