GREEN POPCORN
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 250 F.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir in the sugar and light corn syrup. Let it come to a boil. When the sugar dissolves, remove the caramel syrup from the heat.
- Stir in the salt and baking soda. The syrup will bubble up. Let it settle down a bit, stirring, then add the green food coloring.
- Start with 4 to 5 drops. Stir it in. Add more food coloring until it reaches the desired shade of green.
- Place the popcorn in a large mixing bowl. Pour the green caramel syrup over the popcorn. Toss to coat the popcorn well.
- Divide the popcorn between two jelly roll pans that have been lined with Silpat mats. Spread the green popcorn out into an even layer.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes or so.
- Serve and enjoy immediately, or store the popcorn in an airtight container.

- Add the popcorn and stir very well to completely coat.
- Serve immediately or place in a small slower cooker on low heat to stay warm.
COLORED POPCORN
I've been making this for 30+years. My kids used to look forward to it, especially at holiday time. You can make this any color you want, but for some reason I always did pink (I think it reminded my kids of the packaged "lucky" popcorn). Now my daughter is carrying on the tradition and making it for my grandkids. Recipe comes from an old newspaper clipping. If you plan on storing this, use a zip lock bag or container with a tight fitting lid.

Steps:
- Put popcorn in a large bowl that you have lightly buttered.
- Put sugar and water in a small pan and boil to 238* on a candy thermometer (or until it forms a medium ball in cold water), adding the food coloring toward the last of the cooking.
- Pour over the popcorn & stir evenly, then sprinkle at once with the icing sugar. Make sure you continue stirring until the syrup turns sugary and the kernels separate. Enjoy!
RAINBOW KETTLE CORN RECIPE BY TASTY

Steps:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide the sugar evenly between 6 small bowls, 2 tablespoons per bowl.
- Dye each bowl of sugar a different color by adding 1-2 drops of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple food coloring. Stir each bowl with a clean fork until the sugars are sandy in texture. Note: We recommend gel food coloring, as the colors are more stable. Only use 1-2 drops; a little goes a long way.
- Add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and 2 popcorn kernels to a medium nonstick saucepan with a lid. Cover and place over medium-high heat. Once the kernels pop, reduce the heat to medium and add 2 tablespoons of popcorn kernels and 1 bowl of colored sugar. Immediately cover the pan and shake to combine. Cook, shaking the pan constantly to ensure that the sugar doesn't burn, while the popcorn pops. Once the pops are more than 3 seconds apart, remove the pot from heat. Carefully remove the lid away from your body and pour the popcorn onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Evenly sprinkle ¼ teaspoon salt over the hot kettle corn. Let the popcorn cool completely, transfer to a bowl. Repeat with the remaining colors, replacing the parchment paper as needed.
- Combine all of the popcorn in a large bowl. Toss to distribute the colors evenly. Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- Enjoy!

I've been looking for this recipe for years, as I'd lost it. It finally dawned on me to go to their website. Direct from the Lorann Candy oil site! All times are approximate as I really don't remember, but I'll be making this over the weekends again.

- Cook butter and corn syrup in small saucepan on low heat until butter is melted, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add food coloring; mix well. Pour immediately over popcorn; toss to evenly coat popcorn with glaze. Spread onto prepared baking sheet, using 2 forks to evenly spread popcorn onto bottom of prepared baking sheet.
- Bake 20 min.; cool completely.
- Meanwhile, place sprinkles in small bowl. Melt chocolate as directed on package. Dip tops of ice cream cones, 1 at a time, into chocolate, then into sprinkles, gently tapping cone after dipping in chocolate to remove any excess chocolate. - Pour reserved melted chocolate into small resealable plastic bag; cut small piece off one bottom corner of bag. Use to secure candy eyes to cones as shown in photo. Draw the mouths with remaining chocolate. Let stand 15 min. or until chocolate is firm.
- Break glazed popcorn into small pieces; place in prepared cones. Serve any remaining glazed popcorn on the side.

11 FOODS TO DYE GREEN FOR A FESTIVE ST. PATRICK’S – …
From sheknows.com
- Ice cream and ice cream drinks. You don’t have to have mint-chocolate chip ice cream for it to be green. Mix it up Marble Slab-style by adding green food coloring to vanilla ice cream, mixing it up and putting it on top of that pistachio bread, or add it to your favorite shake.
- White sauces. Regardless of the type, any white or pale sauce can be made green using either food coloring or natural colorants like spinach or kale. We’re eager to try this green macaroni and cheese, which uses spinach to make it green (gotta love recipes that let you sneak in some healthy stuff).
- Cakes. You could probably use five to 10 drops of food coloring in banana or zucchini bread too, but we like this easy recipe for sweet pistachio bread.
